During this time of incredible need, SVCF is accepting applications for nonprofit organizations serving San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. It is expected that these funds will address loss of revenue and/or unexpected costs, such as: Increased sick days or other benefits needed for staff impacted by the illness Supplies related to health and hygiene (e.g., masks, gowns, gloves and other protective equipment) as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control or county public health departments Technology upgrades or purchase of virtual communication vehicles Other operational expenses related to shifts in direct service plans or the provision of emergency services. Eligibility For this RFP, nonprofit emergency grants are open to organizations serving San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Eligible organizations include 501(c)(3)s, those with a fiscal sponsor with a 501(c)(3) designation, or those that are public agencies. The Opportunity

The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting nonprofit organizations in dramatic ways due to

closures and event cancelations; a surge in demand for services; and challenges enforcing

strict public health guidelines (including social distancing and self-quarantining).

During this time of incredible need, SVCF is accepting applications for nonprofit

organizations serving San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. It is expected that these

funds will address loss of revenue and/or unexpected costs, such as:

• Increased sick days or other benefits needed for staff impacted by the illness

• Supplies related to health and hygiene (e.g., masks, gowns, gloves and other protective equipment) as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control or county public health departments

Background on the COVID-19 Regional Nonprofit Emergency Fund

The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting nonprofit organizations in dramatic ways. SVCF’s local

partners are already experiencing the following: lost revenue due to closures and event

cancelations; a surge in demand for services; and challenges maintaining operations while

enforcing strict public health guidelines (including social distancing and self-quarantining).

During this time of incredible need, SVCF will partner with our colleague community

foundations across the 10-county Bay Area region to raise funds for general

support/operating grants for nonprofit organizations that are working in Alameda, Contra

Costa, Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Santa Cruz and Solano counties.

This application is specifically for nonprofit organizations serving San Mateo and Santa
