ATT GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE REGIONAL IMPLEMENTATION TRAINING 28 AUGUST 2019 13:15 - 14:45 ROOM 5 GENEVA'S INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE CENTER 17 RUE DE VAREMBÉ - 1202 GENEVA REPORT BACK: With a thematic focus on “Gender and Gender- Based Violence”, the 5th Conference of States Parties to the ATT (CSP5) affords an ideal opportunity to discuss efforts and strategies towards the effective implementation of the gender-based violence (GBV) criteria in the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT). This side event seeks to share information and outcomes from the Central and Eastern European Regional Training on the GBV Criteria in the ATT with the view of fostering further engagement and cooperation towards the development and implementation of this provision. Participants from the regional training will share lessons learned as well as challenges and questions for further consideration, while training facilitators will discuss the curriculum and materials used to facilitate an in-depth understanding of the GBV criteria in the ATT.
