Storm- affected facilities in the Bicol Region, C entral Luzon and Batangas were fully energized since 2:00 PM, 28 July 2011 except for the Daraga–Ligao 69 KV Transmission line which serves the pr ovince of Albay

NDRRMC • Disseminated series of NDRRMC Advisories on Severe Weather Bulletins,

Flood Bulletins for River Basin and Allied Rivers, General Flood Advisories, and Gale Warnings, to all Chairpersons RDRRMC, PDRRMC, and OCD Regional Centers through SMS and facsimile

• Uploaded the same at the NDRRMC Website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts for further dissemination to their respective Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs) from the provincial down to the municipal levels

• DSWD-FOs are still closely coordinating with local DRRMCs concerned from the regional down to the local level to continuously update the number of affected/evacuated population and the extent of assistance provided to the victims of the typhoon

• DSWD I pre-positioned 1,000 family packs to the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur and Pangasinan, activated QUART to monitor adverse effects brought about by TS “Juaning”, and implemented cash-for-work program in flood-prone areas (canal/river de-clogging) as flood mitigation activity; 227 families / 1,135 persons from La Union and Pangasinan returned home after a brief stay at the 3 evacuation centers; Php 26,290 worth of relief assistance was provided by the local government of Umingan, Pangasinan and Bangar, La Union to their constituents

• DSWD II pre-positioned food and non-food items at the 65 evacuation centers in the region readily available for augmentation support and stockpiled sufficient amount of food packs and used clothing for augmentation to the affected LGUs. SWAD teams of Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino started their duty since 26 July to monitor possible effects of TS Juaning; SWAD Team and concerned LGUs are closely validating the number of affected and served after only 750 from the 1,500 food packs requested by Cong. Erin Tañada were made available at GMA, Cavite warehouse

• DSWD IV-A continuously monitored the five (5) provinces in the region for the number of municipalities/cities affected; stockpile of supplies are lodged at the SWAD Offices of 5 provinces for immediate provision of relief assistance to the affected families

• DSWD V served 93,299 families in Bicol Region as of July 28, 2911 • Immediate Needs of flood victims in Bicol area (food and non-food items)

� Albay drinking water, hygiene kit, housing materials, school supplies and uniform of school children; clothing to

include underwears, kitchen utensils and cooking tools, tents

� Camarines Sur relief goods and potable water � Catanduanes relief goods and potable water � Sorsogon relief goods

• DSWD CAR pre-positioned relief goods (family packs) to different provinces and 2,000 family packs in the regional office; placed on stand-by Quick Response Funds (QRF) worth PHP300,000.00; and activated their local QUART and SWAD teams; terminal report summed up a total of 601 families/3,576 persons coming from twenty nine (29) barangays of the eleven (11) municipalities in the provinces of Ifugao, Kalinga and Benguet were affected; 33 families / 153

persons opted to stay with their relatives/friends in the height of the storm and are now back to their homes; storm-ravaged houses were reconstructed thru bayanihan system

• DSWD- NCR served hot meals and breakfast PhP10,000.00 to the affected families on July 27, 2011 through Social Welfare Offices of Pasay City and Quezon City at Php5,000.00 each; four (4) evacuation centers intended for 73 families / 365 persons (Pasay, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa and Quezon) were closed

• DSWD X closely monitors and coordinates with their local counterparts for any significant report brought by Juaning

Philippine Red Cross (PRC) • PRC NHQ closely coordinated with PAGASA for weather updates and regularly

provided updated weather advisories to all their Red Cross Chapters nationwide via Power Text; directed all Red Cross Chapters to closely monitor the situation and undertake precautionary measures in their respective areas of responsibility; coordinated with LGUs/PDRRMCs for appropriate actions/preparations in response to the typhoon while continuously monitoring the situation for any untoward incidents; activated 143 Volunteers for immediate deployment

• Camarines Sur Chapter Response Team together with LGU and AFP assisted families during evacuation

RDRRMCs/PDRRMCs

• RDRRMC-OCD V coordinated with the DSWD regarding relief items for distribution to the affected provinces and requested for the assistance of the DPWH and the Philippine Army in transporting relief items to Camarines Sur; assisted the staff of Senator Bongbong Marcos in co ordinating with PSWDOs of Albay, Camarines Sur and Catanduanes on t he relief distribution

• PDRRMC Lanao del Norte distributed 2,156 family food packs to the affected families in four (4) barangays in Kapatagan; 623 families / 3,115 persons from Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, took shelter at the Kapatagan Municipal Hall

• Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Region IV-A and Southern Luzon Command (SOLCOM) donated relief good s (assorted medicines, goods and used clothing), received by RD , OCD5 for distribution to the affected population

HEALTH

Department of Health (DOH)

• CHDs in Regions I, III, IV-A, IV-B, V, VI, VIII an d CAR placed on standby alert their respective medical response teams; activated their respective HEMS Operations Centers; and mobilized teams to be on standby; activated CHDs’OPCENs in the affected provinces; and conducted rapid health assessment in affected areas

• The following CHDs pre-positioned drugs and medicines in their respective areas:

� CHD I Php30,000 each to the four (4) provinces � CHD III Php50,000 each to the seven (7) provinces � CHD IV-B Php120,744.14 each to the affected provinces � CHD V Php50,000 worth to Albay and Catanduanes � CHD VI Php30,000 in CHD Office together with 90 pieces of

Health Conditions of Affected Population in Region V • In Sorsogon, six (6) health facilities activated th eir Surveilance in Post

Extreme Emergency Disaster (SPEED). • Total Population:

Bulan - 1,177 (> 5 years old) and 5,995 (> 5 years old) Casiguran – 303 (< 5 years old) and 1,790 (> 5 year s old)

• Common consultations reported were 124 (cough, cold s, or sore throat with or without fever); 17 wounds and bruises; 10 l oose stools with or without dehydration; 8 fever; and 7 high blood pres sure

• Of the 181 consultations monitored, 44% (81) were c hildren among 5 years of age and below

WATER SANITATION AND HYGIENE (WASH) • Polangui, Oas, Malinao and Libon have no water due to damaged main

water pipeline at Ponso, Polangui and destroyed res ervoir at Balogo, Oas. Residents were provided with chlorine and the WASH team will set up Water filtration system

• Daraga, Legaspi City, Sto Domingo, Manito, Tiwi and Jovellar have insufficient water supply due to minor repairs of p ipelines and water sources

• CHD V deployed the PHT-PHO composite health rapid a ssessment team and composite WASH team to provide chlorine granule s, jerry cans, services on RHA, WASH and MHPSS and health educati on and assisted the NAVFORSOL in operating the Water Purification S ystem to be deployed in Malinao, Albay

• PHO provided chlorine granules and aquatabs, jerry cans and water purification system

• Manila Waters personnel with equipment arrived OCDR C 5 and distributed purified water to most affected areas in Malinao, A lbay and served more or less 400 household

• PDRRMC Camarines Sur distributed potable water in B ato (20,000 liters and 95 pcs water containers) and in Minalabac (10,0 00 liters)

SEARCH, RESCUE AND EVACUATION OPERATIONS

Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) • PCG I alerted its WASAR teams in all CG Stations and equipped them with

rubber boats with outboard motor for possible resource mobilization; mobilized the following assets to wit:

� Ilocos (Norte and Sur) - three (3) rubber boats with WASAR teams � La Union - one (1) M35 truck and one (1) rubber boat � Pangasinan - three (3) WASAR teams, three (3) rubber boats, one (1)

medical team, and one (1) M35 truck • PDRRMC Pangasinan deployed two (2) WASAR teams with rubber boats, one

(1) medical team, and one (1) M35 truck to Sual Coast Guard Detachment • CG IV–A directed TB Habagat to depart from her present station in Santa Clara

Pier, Batangas City en route to the vicinity waters between Masbate and Sibuyan Island to conduct SAR operations; AE-891 joined TB Habagat for the rescue efforts

• PCG V monitored the status of stranded passengers; conducted SAR operations for the missing fishermen in Catanduanes; placed its assets on standby and ready for deployment; maintains coordination with PDRRMCs/MDRRMCs; directed the CG Detachments of Calumpang and Mandaon to conduct SAR operations for the remaining 19 crew; conducted SAR operations for FB HOPE CRISTIE utilizing three (3) Coast guard vessels, one (1) fixed wing aircraft and one (1) PCG helicopter

Update of SAR and retrieval operations for the miss ing crew of FB Hope Christie by CGS Masbate

• As of 0600H, 31 July 2011, personnel from CGD Calu mpang conducted foot patrol at vicinity shorelines of Brgy Punta Da u and Brgy Guinbanauhan, Balud, Masbate retrieved two (2) dead bodies with the following physical identification

� Cadaver 1 at Brgy Punta Dau, male between 25-30 yrs old with approximate height of 5’4” wearing brown shirt and blue underwear

� Cadaver 2 at Brgy Guinbanuahan, male between 26-3 0 yrs old with approximate height at 5’5” wearing blue colored T s hirt and brown sweater and blue underwear

• Cadavers are on its early stage of decomposition a nd were brought to Villanueva Funeral Homes for further identification and proper disposition

• CGDet Calumpang coordinated with CG Roxas to infor m the owners/ operators of ill-fated FB

Armed Forces of the Philippine (AFP)

• AFPCC placed the different DRTUs of NCRCOM, NOLCOM, and SOLCOM on standby alert

• NFNL implemented “OPLAN DAGLI”, a tool in mobilizing AFP resources during disaster response

• NFSL alerted all DRTs to include floating assets; dispatched 1 team to Polangui, Albay (on standby at Albay Provincial City Emergency Management Office)

• TOG5, PAF dispatched one (1) SAR Team composed of four (4) 505th SRS and three (3) TOG5 personnel with SAR equipment and placed on standby alert for possible deployment and disaster operations in the AOR; CG, TOG, 2Lt Bernardo and Lt. Del Pilar coordinated with OCD 5 OpCen, NRDRRMC Member Agencies, and APSEMO re: Monitoring of TS “Juaning”; One (1) SAR Team with 4 505th SRS and three (3) TOG5 Personnel conducted disaster operations at Legazpi using M35 Truck of 5FSSU, PA; another SAR Team with seven (7) TOG5 transported approximately 10 families from Brgy. Bañag, Daraga, Albay who were ferried to Daraga Albay Evacuation Center

• 9ID, PA deployed eleven (11) M35 Trucks with Personnel in Naga City (1), Nabua, Camarines Sur (2), and H9ID (8) for pre-emptive evacuation, disaster rescue, and to be on standby and dispatched seven (7) M35; ARESCOM assets (vehicle and personnel) was deployed at Malinao National High School in Albay to conduct clearing operations

• 901 DRTG dispatched two (2) M35 Trucks and 2 KM250 in Albay PDRRMC; Polangui, Albay; and Ligao City, Albay for disaster rescue operations

• 902 DRTG dispatched four (4) M35 Trucks in Labo, Bula and Nabua, all in Camarines Norte for pre-emptive evacuation and disaster rescue operations

• 903 DRTG dispatched two (2) M35 trucks and 9 KM450 in H903Bde Brgy. Old Poblacion, Castilla, Sorsogon and H49IB, Brgy. Rangas, Juban, Sorsogon for pre-emptive evacuation

• Philippine Navy deployed two (2) disaster response teams with rubber boats and one (1) M35 truck to Bonuan PN Detachment and deployed one (1) team with 41 personnel to Ilocos Sur, one (1) team with 42 personnel to Ilocos Norte, one (1) DRT with rubber boat, and one (1) M35 truck in Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte, one (1) rubber boat and four (4) M35 trucks in La Union, and two (2) DRTs and two (2) rubber boats in Pangasinan

• PRC NHQ pre-positioned rubber boats in Batangas, Laguna, Isabela, Valenzuela, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, La Union, Isabela, Zambales, Olongapo and NHQ, aluminum boat in Tarlac and amphibious vehicle in NHQ as well as Rescue Trucks in NHQ and Quezon City

Philippine National Police (PNP) • Activated its PNP Sub-Committee on Disaster Management (PNP SCDM) and

National Disaster Operation Center (NDOC) to monitor and coordinate with affected Regional Offices; directed its ground units to take precautionary measures to address the possible landslides and flashfloods; alerted its search and rescue (SAR) personnel for possible deployment

• PNP I placed all its police stations on alert status and emergency rescue equipment on standby and deployed police manpower teams to Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and La Union. Likewise, twelve (12) rubber boats with police SAR teams and two (2) motor boats were deployed to Pangasinan

• Provincial Police Offices of Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur, and Ilocos Norte activated their emergency response teams with rubber boats

• RDO 5 directed the Provincial Directors of the six (6) Provincial Offices and the Director of Naga City Police to monitor and take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides; alerted their respective search and rescue teams for possible deployment; and coordinated with the media for immediate dissemination of the prevailing situation to the public of any significant incidents in their areas of responsibility

• Albay Police Provincial Office closed the traffic along Maharlika Highway, specifically at Brgy. Balangibang, Polangui, Brgy. Culiat and Bongalong, Daraga. Nagasgasan and Busak Bridge, Oas due to fallen trees and strong current respectively; deployed rescue teams from PRO5 and Albay PPO to Brgy. Cabangan, Legazpi City and Brgy. Nasisi, Ligao City

• PNP 5 Police Stations manned the flooded areas to ensure safe passage of commuters and “No Travel” to areas declared unsafe by PDRRMC Albay

• PNP CAR was placed on alert status and assisted OCD CAR in the dissemination of weather advisories at the local level through their radio communications system

in high risk areas if situation warrants

CLEARING OPERATIONS

Region X • PDRRMC Lanao de Norte and MDRRMC Kapatagan assisted the clearing

operations being undertaken by various AFP responders in Region X: 547 Eng’g

EDUCATION

Department of Education (DepEd) • DepEd ordered the suspension of classes on 26 July 2011 (primary and

Highschool), on 27 July 2011 (at all levels including tertiary) and on 28 July 2011 in some flooded areas in Regions NCR Region I, II, III, IV-A, IV-B, V, and CAR based on the recommendation of PAGASA and warning signals

STRANDED PASSENGERS (HEIGHT OF TROPICAL STORM JUANI NG)

• At the height of the typhoon, there were 1,600 persons, 10 trucks, 180 rolling cargoes, 14 vessels and 15 motorbancas stranded in various ports of Regions II, IV-A, IV-B and V

• PCG Unit Commanders in various ports closely monitored and rendered assistance in coordination with local port authorities and shipping companies and ensured the security and safety of stranded passengers and vessels. AGRICULTURE

Department of Agriculture (DA) • DA Central Office directed its local Regional Command Centers to continuously

monitor any possible effects on the agricultural sector in the affected areas

INFRASTRUCTURE

Department of Public Works and Highways (DP WH) • DPWH Central Office , thru the Bureau of Maintenance, activated Regional

Offices in the affected areas and mobilized their Disaster Response Team (DRT) to monitor the status of national road network within their jurisdiction

• DPWH FOs mobilized their respective DRT to monitor the status of local road network within their localities

• DPWH I activated its DRTs and Operations Centers; monitored status of road conditions, placed its maintenance crew on standby, and pre-positioned heavy equipment in major roads

• DPWH V deployed two (2) trucks with personnel; conducted clearing operations on affected roads; provided one (1) state truck to assist in the transportation of relief items to PDRRMC Camarines Sur and monitored the status of roads

• NGCP fast-tracked the restoration of the remaining transmission lines affected by Tropical Storm “Juaning” and deployed linemen to the areas to ensure fast restoration of service in the remaining unenergized portion

DAMAGE AND NEEDS ASSESSMENT (Aerial Survey) • Two (2) aircrafts (helicopters) from the Philippine Air Force arrived at Legaspi

City Airport at 3:38 PM, 29 July 2011. Said aircrafts conducted aerial survey in Malinao, Albay

• Another aircraft from the Philippine Coast Guard conducted aerial survey in Masbate

• RD OCD 5 in coordination with 901Bde TOG5 Command ers conducted aerial survey and on-site needs assessment in Cata nduanes

REGIONAL INITIATIVES

• As early as July 25, 2011, OCR RCs I, II, III, IV-A, IV-B, V, VI, VII, VIII, NCR and CAR activated their respective OPCENs 24/7 to ensure timely dissemination of weather/flood advisories to the members of local DRRMCs, PDRRMC Member-Agencies, tri-media and Association of Fishermen through facsimile and SMS

Region I • RDRRMC-OCD I coordinated with DILG 1 on the issuance of memorandum to

the LGUs to implement pre-emptive evacuation and orchestrated the pre-positioning of assets in four provinces to augment the emergency resources of the LCEs; attended the PDRRMC emergency meeting in La Union; alerted all rescue groups from the AFP, PNP, and PRC; pre-positioned assets in Pangasinan Province to augment possible emergency response operations; prevented fisher folks from venturing out to sea given the storm threat

• PDRRMCs Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur activated their respective CDRRMCs, MDRRMCs and BDRRMCs; disseminated warning advisories to communities and local radio stations; and placed their respective emergency response equipment and rescue teams on standby for response mobilization

Region II • RDRRMC-OCD2 disseminated series of weather bulletins to all local agencies,

informed RDRRMC2 Vice-Chairperson for preparedness and response; alerted all LGUs, local media, radio stations and individuals; coordinated with the Local DRRMCs of Batanes, Cagayan, Quirino, Isabela and Nueva Vizcaya to monitor the situation and preparedness activities in their respective AOR including pre-emptive evacuation; alerted rescue groups from PNP, BFP, PA, PN and PCG for possible search, rescue and evacuation operations; briefed BOMBO Radyo Tuguegarao on the preparedness activities in the region; alerted PDRRMCs for possible occurrence of any emergencies specifically in the provinces of Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya and rescue groups for possible SAR and evacuation operations in their respective AORs

• LGU Quirino evacuated 80 transient families (carnival operators) to the Aglipay Municipal Hall and declared the Province under a State of Calamity by virtue of Resolution No. 40 series of 2011

• LGUs Cauayan City and Santiago City monitored the water of the upper main Cagayan River and its tributaries; P/RDRRMs in coordination with the

Disaster Management and Crisis Intervention Unit an d SWAD Teams of different provinces remain vigilant on any eventual ities that may result from the slow recession of the middle-main Cagayan River and its tributaries due to the scheduled release of water f rom Magat Dam (4:35PM/30July2011)

• Rescue 922 of Cauayan and Rescue 206 of Santiago Ci ty were deployed to the areas threatened by flooding for possible pre-emptive evacuation

Region III • RDRRMC-OCD III disseminated domestic bulletins and flood advisories to

concerned member agencies, local DRRMCs, and broadcast media for widest information dissemination; alerted AFP Provincial Disaster Response Unit, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority and Olongapo City Rescue Team to pre-position personnel and rescue equipment in flood-prone areas; and coordinated with the following:

� PDRRMCs Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Bataan, Zambales, Pampanga and Bulacan ordered the activation of their respective operations centers;

� Flood Forecasting and Warning System for Dam Operations (PAGASA Pampanga) for any dam discharge; and

� 7ID Police Regional Office 3-Regional Public Safety pre-positioned their personnel and rescue assets for immediate deployment

• PDRRMC Nueva Ecija convened the council on July 27,2011 to prepare for the passage of TS Juaning in the province

• PDRRMC Aurora pre-positioned military contingent from 48IB headed by Lt. COL Kurt Decapia in Northern Aurora for possible evacuation operation and evacuated affected families in Casiguran, Aurora to the Esperanza Barangay Hall

• LGUs in Region III pre-positioned relief goods and rescue teams in their respective areas of responsibility

• PDRRMCs Tarlac and Bulacan suspended all government offices except those offices having disaster related services

Region IV-A • RDRRMC-OCD IV-A closely monitored the situation in coordination with local

DRRMCs concerned and disseminated NDRRMC advisories to concerned PDRRMCs and MDRRMCs

• RDRRMC IV-A member agencies such as: PNP PRO, SOLCOM, PCG, BFP, DILG, DOST, DSWD, DOH, DPWH, DepEd, NTC, PPA, PIA and LDRRMCs closely monitored the situation in the region

• PDRRMCs Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, and Rizal and CDRRMCs concerned activated their Operations Centers and pre-positioned their rescue teams and equipment

• PDRRMC Quezon ERT activated all MDRRMCs specifically the coastal areas and northern part of Quezon; conducted search and rescue of the five (5) pupils in Lucena City

• PNP, CSWDO, CENRO and Traffic Management Office were placed on standby at CDRRMO Tagaytay

• MDRRMC Mulanay conducted forced evacuation in five (5) barangays in Mulanay with 171 families/904 persons evacuated

• MDRRMC Infanta convened on 27 July 2011 presided by the Chairperson to ensure appropriate actions and preparations for Typhoon Juaning. Infanta Mayor ordered PNP, DFP and PA to monitor critical areas of riverine barangays such

as Ilog, Pinaglapatan, and Catambungan; flood and landslide prone coastal barangays; high risk areas in storm surge and upland communities Laguna Provincial Health Officer, PSWDO, PDRRMO and trained rescuers/volunteers were on standby alert; requested one (1) rubber boat, one (1) wooden boat and four (4) dump trucks ready for deployment

• PDRRMC Cavite alerted all local DRRMCs to conduct continuous monitoring in flood prone areas

• P/C/MDRRMCs alerted and activated their DRRMC committees such as Emergency Engineering, Communications and Warning, Relief and Health Services

• MDRRMC Angono, Rizal with Health Staff of Angono Ge neral Services Office sent rescue group to assess the situation of affected families and coordinated with the DPWH District 1 for possible relocation of the affected families/informal settlers to safer areas

Region IV-B • RDRRMC-OCD IV-B coordinated with PNP MIMAROPA and PCG District

Southern Tagalog on the status of vehicular traffic and vessel operations; disseminated weather bulletins to the PDRRMCs’ member agencies, LGUs and local radio stations through facsimile and SMS; and issued a directive to concerned police stations to assist in the SAR operations for other possible survivors

Region V • RDRRMC-OCDRC V disseminated typhoon bulletins, gale warnings and flood

advisories to all RDRRMC Member Agencies, Action Officers, PDRRMCs, LGUs, and local media to effectively ensure public safety; alerted disaster response units/teams for possible deployment if needed; and requested for an aircraft from NDRRMC for use of RDRRMC in search and rescue operations (SAR) and damage and needs assessment (DANA); coordinated with 901st BDE, PA TOG5-PAF, NAVFORSOL in response to the request of Hon. Joey Salceda for the availability of M35 trucks with personnel and equipment on standby at PDRRMO Albay; referred various LGU requests for assistance to concerned agencies for immediate action; conducted emergency meeting at OCD-RDRRMC Conference Room with member agencies

• PDRRMC-Albay issued Advisory 2 for disaster avoidance stating that all DRRMCs are advised to closely monitor river systems and prevent residents from crossing swollen rivers and artificial pools of water and amended advisories to maintain suspension of all classes from kinder, elementary, secondary, post-secondary classes in all areas both public and private, conducted

• PDRRMC-Catanduanes issued a “no sailing” policy and disseminated the same to all coastal barangays and municipalities in their AOR; conducted local search and rescue operation for the three (3) missing fishermen

• Albay Emergency Response Unit (ERU ) responded to Brgy. Cabangan Rescue Operations and transported one (1) pregnant woman to hospital

• The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of affected provinces declared the following provinces under a State of Calamity: Catanduanes (Resolution No 128-2011 July 26 ); Camarines Sur (July 26); Camarines Norte (July 27); Sorsogon (Donsol only July 28); and Albay (July 27)

• BFP Region V deployed assets (trucks and personnel) to assist in the disaster operations in different areas affected by TS Juaning

Region VII • MDRRMC Larena in coordination with affected BDRRMCs conducted damage

assessment in five (5) affected barangays and dispatched the Engineering team for clearing of debris

Region VIII • Members of Lawaan, Eastern Samar Rescue Team conducted search and

rescue operations for the six (6) missing fishermen • LGU-Lawaan, through Mayor Candida Gabornes, coordinated with the LGU-

Guiuan, Eastern Samar and the Pacific LGUs of Southern Leyte to help in the SAR operations of the said missing fishermen; similar efforts were also conducted by RDRRMC-VIII OpCen together with Tacloban PCG

Region X • 1st and 2nd Congressional District representatives Imelda and Aliah Dimaporo

met with Mayor Baguio and MDRRMC members for the rehabilitation and recovery needs of affected families;

NCR • OCD NCR prepared and disseminated Severe Weather Bulletins and Gale

Warning Advisories to the Metro Manila DRRMCs and other National Offices in Metro Manila thru SMS and facsimile for information, appropriate action and widest dissemination and activated Task Force NCR and MMDA Bayanihan Flood Alliance Zone group as early as 25 July 2011 to monitor the effects of TS “Juaning” in NCR

• MDRRMCs were on heightened alert; representatives from various MMDRRMC member agencies reported for duty at the MMDA Operations Center

• PCG-NCR Auxillary Rescue Team assisted in the retrieval operations of a victim who drowned at the Habitat Creek in Brgy Talon, Las Pinas City

• MMDA prepositioned three (3) rescue boats to each of the following areas in Quezon City - Commonwealth Avenue, Brgy Tatalon and Brgy Talayan; other rescue assets were also on standby alert at the MMDA OpCen

Radar Station at Sto. Tomas, Baguio City and other weather websites; prepositioned the Thuraya Emergency Telecommunication Kits
