As long as Cliba is alive he will provide an

rule is used, the Frakkers will win the close combatby 2 instead of 1, thus trumping an opposing sides
musician.
Quite Glittering Scales:
The Frakkers new armour sometimes shimmers andgleams like the summer sun, especially in summer.
It also tends to tun unbearable hot inside of it.It MUST be magical, although somewhat fickle

the Frakkers get a +2 bonus to their casting rolls.Canned Animosity:
If you want to teach some greenskin a lesson youwill have a hard time as one of the Frakkers.
First of all, you cant shout or pull faces due to the
visors and if you attempt more, Scyth will take yer
head and put it next to Grunkhs at the top of hisbanner. Thats just not right.
The Animosity TestTest for the Frakkers in the start of the Turn sub-
phase during each of their turns, as long as they
are more than 5 models not enganged in close combat not fleeing
Roll a d6. If the dice roll is 2 or more, the unit
behaves normally this turn. On a roll of 1, roll on
the following table:
1) gete *snik* : the unit looses a member due to Scyths
timely intervention.
2-5) This is no fun!: the unit must charge if it is in a position
to do so. Else some unit members release their frustration and cause
1d6 S3 hits on the Frakkers or, if armed with bows, on the nearst visible
unit. Friend or foe.
6) Still knowing the old tricks:gathering all their strength they
manage to act like in the old days and have the fast cavalry special rule
for this turn.

Kattas FrakkersOnce Katta was just a lowly leader of a unit of hobgoblin wolfboyz belonging to one of the larger tribesroaming the Dark Lands.
While hobgoblins are lazy, cowardly and selfish by nature anyway, Katta outshone most of them by far.Such qualification did not go unnoticed by his Khan, and when there was need for a scouting party he was
the first one to be declared volunteer.His order was to find a safe passage for the tribe through the Mountains Of Mourn off the beaten track.
Practically that meant, to enter the pass for a days ride, to leave a mark and to come back on the next day.Hobgoblins know very well that they are despised by most of the other races and usually get killed on sight.
They know that they wont survive for long without the tribe and therefore will return unless they are dead.So if they return and the path is clear, the tribe will follow them back to their mark.
If the path is blocked, that mark is not far away enough or the tribe ambushed on its way, the leader getskilled for the next one to take its place.
In case they dont return, then the passage obviously is not save. Then a different path needs to be found(and the tribe gets a new opportunity to rid itself from more useless scum). Thus was the tribes tradition and
it was Kattas turn to follow it. He and a handfull of other volunteers survived four scouting tours. They didnot return from their fifth. They did not die though.
Just before sunset on their way out, they saw a flash of light from behind a bend.Cautiously they crept closer and became witness of a firce battle between strange looking riders which had
been ambushed by some ogres.Those riders were clad in metal and their armour was glowing like the sun. Although they were
outnumbered, they held the narrow path against the attacking brutes. Their long spears kept them out ofreach buying the riders enough time to stab the monsters often enough to bring them finally down.
One after the other.Things changed when a gigantic Ogre appeared on a rim above the fight.
With a warcry he threw himself down onto the horsemen squashing several of them and disrupting theirranks. The first one to die was a smaller, unarmoured man who had been hiding in the units midst.
With his death also the glow ended and the battle turned against the horsemen.Still they did not give up, they did not flee, but in turn got killed to a man.
The ogres were not better off though. From their numbers only the big ogre was more or less standing. Hewas bleeding from several wounds and had spears poking out of his body in various angles.
Grunkh he shouted, was his name and the leader of the and then he was cut short as he was felled by a
salvo of arrows in his back. He never saw his killers.Once the hobgoblins were sure that everybody was dead, they started looting the corpses.The metal scale armour of the horses would be worth a fortune and the rest of the stuff was not bad either.
On that moment Katta had a vision (two, in fact).The first one was that, on return, they will be robbed of their hard earned loot, beaten and send out again.
The second one was about himself and his companions, clad in that strange steel armour and armed withthose strange, long spears.
He saw them beeing invincible. Arrows deflected by their shields, opponents kept out of reach by the longspears (just like a hobgoblin likes it) and all that combined with the swiftness of their wolves.
And then,after his imaginary self even had stated to glow, he thought: warlords would pay for having me onheir side. The idea was born and Katta did not hesitate to make it work.
Scyth and Cliba were the first to agree and while Scyth rode back to the tribes laager it was Cliba who
started to clad the wolves into barding.(Actually it was Hegik who began with it but it was Cliba who finished it. Cliba has always been good withwolves and knows that they are much better to handle once they have eaten).
In time Cliba arrived with more potential volunteers who had no qualms to defect the tribe once they had anew opportunity and so it came that a new twenty strong mercenary unit left the mountains of mourn in the
direction of cathay. All mounted on wolves, armed with over long spears and clad in glittering, scaled steelarmour, which sometimes even shines like the sun.
Kattas Frakkers first employments kept him in Cathay for some time until someone recognized the armour.This caused a rather hasty retreat back to the old word. They helped the Chaos Dwarfs to wipe out their old
tribe and then fought for the Border Princes. Still too close to the bullying green skinned cousins of the BadLands, they finally headed for Tilea. There their flashy outfit and their backstabbing, selfcaring nature were
well respected attributes and the constant war between the city states promised a steady income.

STIRLANDSSHARPSHOOTERS
THE REGIMENT

Appearance: The Sharpshooters are unlike many veteran mercenary companies and wear a regal dress uniform of deep blue with
white trim on their clothing, armor, and equipment. Many of the Sharpshooters proudly wear their badge on their blouse, consisting
of a spent bullet with a second round shot into the first. The bullet is a choice battlefield memento to reflect the drill and precision
of the riflemans aim.
For Hire: Stirlands Sharpshooters can be hired as a Special unit for a Dogs of War army. Alternatively, they can hire by as a Rare
unit in any Warhammer army, except Bretonnian, Dark Elves and Skaven.
Points: Robert and nine Sharpshooters cost a total of 210 points including Bartholomew J. Flump the Halfling Marksman & Chef,
Harry Simeone the Musician and a Standard Bearer. This is the minimum size of regiment you can hire. The regiment may be
enlarged by adding extra models at a cost of 13 points each.

Equipment: Hand weapon, light armor and rifle (counts as handgun). Harry Simeone is not armed with a rifle so does not shoot.
Bartholomew J. Flump is armed with an Empire Hochland Long Rifle and a Brace of Pistols. Robert Striland is armed with an
Empire Repeater Handgun.
Special Rules:
Trained Rifleman: To gain entrance into the regiment of Sharpshooters candidates must be able to fire 3 rounds in less
than 1 minute at a goblin head at 240 paces way and hit it all three times. To represent the long range skill of the Sharpshooters,
they ignore -1 penalty the shooting at long range.
Carol of the Drum: The unit operates with a precision known only to a select few units like the High Elves Phoenix Guard.
The unit marches in lock step to the beat of the drum. To represent this ability the unit may move and fire with standard penalties if
successful Ld. check of their Captain. If failed, it counts as if they had moved and may not shoot, they may still make a move as
desired. Harry the Musician must be alive for this test to be taken.
Stirlands Volley: The unit when Stand and Shoot is declared may test the Ld. of the Captain and if successful ignore the -1penalty of Stand and Shoot. Additionally if Stand is the only declaration allowed, the unit may test the Ld. of the Captain at -3 and
if successful gains Quick to Fire special rule for that turn and then declare Stand and Shoot with standard penalties. Bartholomew
cannot use the Hochland Long Rifle due to the time it takes to aim a shot. He will instead fire from his Brace of Pistols. Both Harry
and Robert must be alive for this test to be taken.

Legio X Invictaof Remas
Battle call: REMA VICTOR!
The Legio XInvicta of Remas is a heavy infantry formation, based on the military knowledge of the olderdays. Centuries ago nearly every army in Tilea was trained like the Legio, but most of these formations got
lost by the time. Only in Remas, the disciplined formations of the legionnaires survived and fought manybattles over whole Tilea and the southern old world.
A legionnaire is equipped with heavy armour, called lorica segmentata and fights as good with his short-
sword, calledgladius as with his pilum, a heavy javelin. A drilled formation of legionnaires, protected by
broad shields and heavy armour is a horrific sight for every Ork, Beastman or Marauder, silly enough toattack the hills around Remas.
TheLegio is lead by a warrior, called Maximus. No one knows who he is or where hes from. Some say, he
came from the dark forests to the north, known as the Empire. But whoever he is, he is an excellent fighter,
with an iron will to lead his legionnaires from victory to victory. The Legio consists of men from different
lands and even one or two Dwarfs have joined the ranks (with customized armoury). Maximus and his men
have fought for Tilean cities, Imperial rulers and Dwarfish kings, but have always returned in a quick
march, when Remas was threatened by a foeand have been victorious!

Special Rules
Hard Drill: All legionnaires are trained very hard by their Centurio. They
have developed a unique style of fighting: In battle, the legionnaires attackthe foe with their heavy javelins, to tear down his shields and to give the
legionnaires a chance to cut him down in the following brutal melee. Torepresent this on battlefield, all Legio regiments make a stand-and-shoot
javelin- attack every time they get attacked and when they attack by
themselves. Because of their drill they are always allowed to do this, nomatter how close the enemy is and without suffering a penalty for theTo hit-throw!

Kisoi GojosRonin Cavalry
In the mystic isles of Nippon the samurai live to serve or die fighting at the whim of their
liege lord, there is nothing else in life. For these fierce and equally proud warriors there isalso no such thing as failure: only victory or death. But as often happens in their war-torn
home land a liege lord may be deposed, killed in battle or meet some other cruel twist
fate turning his followers into Ronin: master-less samurai.
Whatever the reason Ronin are wanderers, shunned by Nipponese society. As such Ronin
are obligated to travel the world is search of such common needs as pay, food and loot;selling their skills in battle, which is something, no true samurai ever imagine doing.
Desperate times however, call for desperate actions. The Ronin Cavalry ofKisoiGojoare
asmercenaryintheiroutlookasthefinestfreebootersofTilea!Theyarecutthroat,
withoutpityandviciousintheextreme.They think nothing of charging giants or evenchaos warrior; they simply tilt their spears towards a foe and charge. Each Ronins reasonfor such shame is unique to each Ronin, but their quest for death is the same.

unthinkable had they still been samurai. They have even fought for the Emperor ofCathay in the past despite the ancestral rivalries between Cathay and Nippon.

uncommonforawarriorinthebandtodisplaytheskullsoftheirdefeatedenemies.

skull!Othersflaytheskinoffofthevanquished.Whateverthetrophy,theRonin of
KisoiGojohavetakenonadecidedlymoreviolentoutlookthenthewarriorsoftheir
homeland(ifsuchathingwerepossible).Ifonedidnotknowbettertheywould
thinkthisisdeliberatetheylookfierceandtheirarmorandweaponsshowsignsof
heavyusethewarriorsthemselvesarethesame.

Benito'sImpalerswereonceoneofthemanymercenaryregimentshiredtowage
waruponVladvonCarsteinduringhisruleoverSylvania,and,unfortunatelyforthem,oneofthemoresuccessfulones.Benitowaspossessedwithgreatcunningand
hadtheplantoreplacethetipsoftheirpikeswithblessedstakes,thendrawVladoutintocombatbyattackingtheoutlyingvillagesinSylvaniauntilhehadnochoice
buttorespondinperson.
Theplanalmostworked-intheirfinalbattle,VladsenthispersonalretinueofGrave
GuardintoachargeagainsttheImpalers.Manypikesfoundtheirmark,piercing
throughtheranksoftheGraveGuard-howevertheImpalershadnotcountedon
Vlad'sforesight.Havinglearnedoftheirplan,VladhadhisNecromancersweavea
protectivespellaroundhisretinue,toreversetheeffectsoftheblessing.Insteadof
