APRIL (Continued) MAY

As the Presidio Clubhouse nears completion, we begin to turn our attention to the outdoor amenities and the jewel of your community, the Regency Clubhouse. Soon we will hear the thwack of pickleball paddles, the sound of tennis balls flying off rackets, and bocce balls rolling to intended targets, followed by cheers and laughter! These will be the sounds of the Regency residents enjoying the spectacular amenities planned for this vibrant community. Outdoor amenities include seven pickleball courts, two bocce courts, and two tennis courts. Indoor amenities include access to two clubhouses with state-of-the-art fitness centers, lounge areas, game rooms with billiards tables, a community library, and much more. In addition, Regency homeowners will have access to both an outdoor and indoor swimming pool. Whether you just want to relax by the pool with a good book or participate in a water aerobics fitness class, there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy both swimming pools. In addition, walking and biking trails will surround the Regency community, perfect for the outdoor enthusiasts alike. There certainly will be something for everyone at Regency!

This fun-filled active-adult community offers the best of everything: a private, gated community, award-winning single-family home designs, impressive onsite amenities, and endless opportunities for learning new things, meeting new people, and doing things you never had time to do before. Neighborhood celebrations and interest group events have already begun. Holiday get-togethers, Poker and Pizza Nights, sports game celebrations, Bunco, Billiards, and Ladies Luncheons are just some of the activities that Regency homeowners enjoy. There’s truly never a dull moment at Regency!

One of the best things about Regency is that it’s located in Reno which is home to several events throughout the year, including festivals and outdoor activities, attracting people from all over the world! Within 30 to 45 minutes of Reno are several attractions including Lake Tahoe, Carson City, and Virginia City that host a variety of community events. Not a month will go by without an activity taking place for you to enjoy!

Reno hosts a variety of outdoor events in the spring and summer months, taking full advantage of their 252 sunny days a year. The Reno River Festival kicks off the season with professional kayakers from all over the world demonstrating their whitewater sport while attendees enjoy live music, yoga in the park, craft beer and the Biggest Little 5K. June hosts the always popular, “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West” which is easily one of the most popular annual events in Reno. This 10-day event is filled with bull riding, barrel racing, cattle roping, mutton bustin, local barbeque food, and a carnival!

Reno Artown holds musical, theatrical, cultural, dance, history and visual art events each day throughout the month of July. During Artown, residents may enjoy Music in the Park or Evenings on the Ranch, free live outdoor entertainment shows, and much more. Local Farmer’s Markets, Lake Tahoe’s Shakespeare Festival at Sand Harbor, several spectacular Fourth of July fireworks shows, Burning Man, and Hot August Nights featuring hundreds of classic cars make Reno an exceptional place to spend your summer.

One of the largest hot air balloon races in the country, The Great Reno Balloon Race, is one of Reno’s most colorful events of the year. Watch the sky light up during their Glow Show and Dawn

Patrol, and whiteness nearly a hundred hot air balloons lift off the ground during the incredible mass ascension. Seeing the skyline filled with dazzling balloons surrounded by the Sierra Mountains is truly an amazing experience not to be missed! The Reno Air Races is another large event held during the month of September. This perpetuates the most unique air racing event and aviation experience in the world by combining the world’s fastest motor sport with spectacular military and civilian air entertainment!

Relish in winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding, sledding, or snowshoeing atop one of Reno’s many ski resorts. Or, attend a concert, theatre show, casino performance, community parade, or sporting event. Sports fans can root for the Aces, Reno’s Minor League Baseball team, or the Nevada Wolf Pack, their NCAA football team. Whatever the month or season, Reno is the perfect destination to spend your free time. Nestled in the heart of Reno, Regency at Damonte Ranch is located near all of the activities and events occurring throughout the year!

SPECIAL EVENTS CALENDAR

New Regency homeowners, Bill and Sandy Freeman, moved to Reno to be closer to family, but choose Regency for a very specific reason, pickleball! The move to Regency at Damonte Ranch last October has been an easy transition for Bill and Sandy, who moved from the humid heat of Florida. The dry climate of Reno’s 4,400-foot elevation will allow the Freemans more daytime hours to enjoy their favorite sport.
