1.0 Introduction
This Annual Performance Report is submitted to satisfy the requirements of the Sewage Certificateof Approval issued to the lngleside WWTP. (Amended C of A No. 8524-SJFPSF, February, 2003).
This Annual report corresponds with the period from January to December andprovides:
I an overview of the wastewater treatment plant performance;
I a summary and interpretation of all monitoring data and analytical results collected duringthe reporting period, including quality and quantity;
0 a summary of the system operation, including calibration, information on operatingproblems encountered in the reporting period, and modifications to the works to correctthe problems;
0 a tabulation of the volume of sludge generated in the reporting period, an outline ofanticipated volumes to be generated over the next reporting period, and an outline of thesludge handling methods and disposal areas to be utilized over the next reporting period;
2.0 Wastewater Treatment Performance
The current treatment system for lngleside is extended aeration process with screening of the rawinfluent, grit removal, aeration, chemically assisted flocculation and sedimentation of solids andphosphorous, chlorination and discharge to Lake St. Lawrence.
Overall, the lngleside wastewater treatment facility has operated efficiently and has proven toprovide consistent removal efficiencies for the design parameters during the reporting period.
Appendix A contains the monthly quantity and quality values.
Please note that the data contained in Appendix A represents all the acquired data throughout theyear, including laboratory and "in-house" testing at the plant.
There were no bypasses within the facility for the reporting year.
2.1 Raw Wastewater Characteristics
The average process wastewater flow rate was 3,629 ms/d (90% of the average daily design flow of4,045 ma/d). The plant is rated at 10,027 ma/cl (peak daily flow). Appendix A contains the monthlyquantity and quality values for the influent and effluent. The peak daily flow was not exceededduring 2015.
Treatment Performance
Table 2.2 outlines the annual average treatment efficiencies of the treatment process within thefacility for the reporting year.

5.0 Biosoiids Management
The total volume of biosolids transferred from the lngleside Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in2015 was approximately 4,900 ma. Biosolids were hauled to BASF, the Long Sault WWTP, the
lngleside WWTP 7 W2015 Annual Performance Report - SEWAGERombough Farm (Provisional Certificate of Approval No.5-4818-62), Cameron Farm (ProvisionalCertificate of Approval No. S-4818-63), and the Hartle Farm (NASM Plan 22349).
BASF
Biosolids were transported to the BASF wastewater treatment plant on 4 occasions in2015. David Brown Construction Limited (AS60317) transferred 102 m3 on February 24,100m3 on May 20, 123 m3 on August 19, and 140 ma on November 17
Long Sault WWTP
Biosolids were transported to the Long Sault Wastewater Treatment Plant on December16"‘ (30m3) to seed SBR#1 following repairs.
Rombough, Cameron and Hartle Farms
The total volume of biosolids transferred from the lngleside Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in2015 was approximately 4,418 m3. A summary of the details associated with the transfer ofbiosolids is below:
I The John Cameron Farm received 840 ma of biosolids under Provisional Certificate ofApproval (CofA) No. S-4818-63, in May 2015;
I The Brian Rombough fa rm received 2,698 ma of biosolids under CofA No. S-4818-62, duringtwo (2) separate field applications which occurred in May 2015 and August 2015; and
I The Edward Hartle farm received 880 ma of biosolids under Non Agricultural Source Material(NASM) Plan number 22349 in November 2015.
The lngleside biosolids were analysed for all applicable parameters as required by in the Ministry ofthe Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) Guidelines for the Utilization of Biosolids and OtherWaste on agricultural land March 1996 (MOECC Guideline) for biosolid field applications completedunder the former CofAs (expired fall 2015). The material analysis for land application in under NASMplans (current approval) was done in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and RuralAffaire's (OMAFRA) Nutrient Management Protocol for Ontario Regulation 267/03 made under theNutrient Management Act (Nutrient Management Protocol) and met the requirements for metals,nutrients and pathogens.
METHODSin 2015 the stored biosolids were transferred by Third High Farms Limited into tankers and hauledto utilization sites according to Schedule B of Certificate of Approval No. H480300. Field markersdelineating minimum separation distances to sensitive features were installed by Third High FarmsLimited at all land-application sites as per the approved setbacks plan. The material was land appliedto the fields by direct injection. Secondary tillage was undertaken on an as-needed basis to ensurecomplete incorporation.
MATERIAL APPLICATIONS UNDER Certificate of approvalApplication rates of the lngleside biosolids spread under former CofAs were determined based onthe solids loading limit of 8 dry tonnes per hectare for a five (5) year period or the nitrogen loadinglimit of 135 kilograms of ammonium plus nitrate nitrogen per hectare for a five (5) year period asper the MOECC Guideline. Tables 1A and 1B summarize land applications of lngleside biosolids in2015 completed under the legacy CofA approvals.

MATERIAL APPLICATIONS UNDER NASM PLANAs per the Nutrient Management Protocol, the beneficial use of the material for agricultural cropswas demonstrated through lab analysis based on the plant available Nitrogen (PAN), the plantavailable Phosphorous (PAP) and the plant available Potassium (PAK). Material application rateswere determined based on field condition, the solids addition limit of 22 dry tonnes/ha per five (5)years and the nutrient limits which are determined by calculating the agronomic balance and/orcrop removal balance. in 2015, 880 ma of the lngleside biosolids were brought to the Edward Hartlefarm on fields labeled Dixon Rd and applied to the field portion that is north of the creek whichbisects the field. Table 2 summarizes nutrient and solids loading to the fields associated with the2015 biosolids application.

Z016 LAND APPLICATIQN PROJECTIONSThe volume of biosolids generated by the WWTP in 2016 is anticipated to be approximately 4,000ma. This is based on the volume of biosolids transferred over the past applications (2009 - 2015).
Based on past analytical data associated with biosolids quality and the limits made under OntarioRegulation 267/03 as amended, application rates of the lngleside biosolids will be constrained bythe addition of phosphorous to the fields, which is calculated based on crop requirements.Considering past applications and quality data, appropriate application rates will be determined tostay within the nutrient loading limits as prescribed by the regulation. All land application ofbiosolids going fonivard will be done in accordance with an approved NASM Plan as the legacyCofA's for organic soil conditioning sites have expired.
