REGARDING THE EVENT:

Expocity Albania in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the National Tourism Agency, is launching the 4th Edition, International Tourism Fair (ITF) Tirana 2020. This trade fair will be one of the most important regional tourism events aiming to encourage cooperation and to promote tourism destinations through the exhibition, conferences, workshops and B2B meetings. Participants from the Tourism Industry in Albania, the region and beyond including other top destination countries will showcase their tourism potential in various categories such as: Destinations, Accommodation, Travel Agencies, Tour Operators, Sea Tourism, Mountain Tourism, Gastronomy etc.

WHY ITF TIRANA 2020?

ITF Tirana 2020 aims to promote incoming tourism, domestic tourism and outgoing tourism, as well as to strengthen the cooperation among the tourism entities in the region and the rest of the world. Facts about the Tourism Sector in Albania: Travel and tourism is a 1.24-billion-dollar industry in Albania and is rapidly growing.

The Travel and Tourism contribution (2018) accounts for 27.2% of the country's total GDP with an annual growth of 5.2%. The number of tourists in the �rst 11 months of 2019 was 6 million 74 thousand foreign visitors with an increase of 12.5 over the same period of 2018. The number of employees in the tourism sector grew by 286,700 new jobs generated in 2018.

It is expected to become a 2.1-billion-dollar industry by 2028, an indicator of Albania’s Tourism Industry’s abundant opportunities and bene�cial climate for business. The government is actively working to support the development of tourist resorts, with a focus on-but not limited to-the southern coastline with emerging Hotel franchise opportunities.

Albania is offering favorable terms to �ve-star hotel brands with tax breaks, including reduced pro�t and property taxes, among other tax breaks. Strategic investments can be private, public, or public–private investments in the tourism industry and all related industries such as: transport, telecommunications, infrastructure and technology.

WHY EXHIBIT?

The 4th Edition, “International Tourism Fair (ITF) Tirana 2020” plays a key role supporting sustainable tourism policies in Albania and beyond. ITF Tirana 2020 provides tourism professionals with an opportunity to meet industry colleagues, buyers and suppliers.All options such as: eco-tourism, sea tourism, cultural and historic tourism, beach holidays, mountain trips, city escapes, package deals etc., will be showcased at our tourism exhibition at Expocity Albania.
