Rules and regulations for the tournaments:-

1. Students as per the following table are eligible to participate in the aforementionedtournaments:-

2 U-14 yrs 01-01-2001 Up to 8 th class (Students of 9th and 10thclass cannot participate in U-14 yrs agecategory)

3 U-17 yrs 01-01-1998 Up to 106 class (Students of 1 i th and 12thclass cannot participate in U-17 yrs agecategory)

4 U-19 yrs 01-01-1996 Up to 12th class

Eligibility of players — Only bonafide students who are on roll of the school/institution will

be eligible to participate in the tournament in their school teams. A Player can take part in

2 minor and 1 major game whereas in Athletics & Swimming events player can take part

in 3 events and 2 Relay Races in each game.

Bio-Data of each player in the prescribed eligibility form with respect to U-14, 17, 19 yrs

age group tournaments complete in all respects(with the latest passport size photograph

duly attested by the head of the school/institution) must be deposited by the team manager/

coach one day before the date of tournament for screening and verification of documents.

Three copies of eligibility form duly complete and signed/countersigned by the concerned

authorities have to be submitted.

4. The following documents are required alongwith the eligibility form:-

Document in support of date of birth.

Attested copy of Birth Certificate issued by Municipality/Local civic

authority.

Attested copy of School Leaving Certificate issued by the previous school

that was submitted by the player at the time of admission in the current school.

Attested copies of certificates of 58 th/10th examination conducted by School

Education Department/State Education Board/CBSE (as the case may be)

V. Original mark sheets of last year's exam.

5. Incomplete documents will not be accepted. In case, information furnished by the school

in the Entry form/Bio-Data of any player is found in incorrect / Incomplete, the player

concerned or even the team will be debarred from participation in the tournament.

If a student participating in these school tournaments is found having enrolled in any other

school also, the school team will be disqualified immediately for two years. The

expenditure (T.A./D.A and Kit) incurred on such team shall be imposed/reimbursed by the

head of the concerned School/Institution. The concerned officials shall be liable also be

liable for departmental disciplinary proceedings.

If a player is found guilty of impersonation or violation of rules, strict action shall be taken

against the player, the teacher in-charge and the Head of the School/institutions also.

A player participating in more than one game will be provided the sports kit only once in

the current session.

All the zonal secretaries will ensure that the Government/Recognized/Aided/CBSE schools

have deposited their sports funds with the DEO office as per norms & strength of students.

Only those schools which have deposited their sports funds will be allowed to participate

in these tournaments.

10. All teams are expected to report to the venue of the tournament by 3:00 PM positively one

day before the start of the tournament for screening and verification of documents of the

teams. Teams reporting on the day of the competition will not be allowed to participate in

the tournament. Screening of the players and document verification of the teams/players

will be done by the match referees, umpires and other technical experts of the concerned

game/event.

In State Level tournament, all teams must bring Flags of their District of the size 4'x6' for

March Past and Oath Ceremony.

Fixtures for the tournament will be drawn in front of the coaches and team managers one

day before the start of the tournament in the evening. It is mandatory for the team

managers/coaches to ensure their presence.

The rules of the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) shall be applicable in these

tournaments.

The tournaments will be conducted on knock-out basis.

To participate in State Level school games every player/team must be provided with sports

kit by the concerned district,

There will be no competition in Block/District level tournaments if there are less than 4

teams (team games) & 4 players (in case of individual discipline) of different schools in

each game/event. For State level tournaments to be conducted, a minimum number of 8

teams (for team games) and 5 players ,, (in case of individual discipline) are mandatory for

each event/Game.

One player from each school will be allowed to participate in each weight category of

Weightlifting, Wrestling, Judo, Boxing and other individual games in Block/District level

tournaments, However, in the disciplines of Swimming and Athletics, two players from

each schooUdistrict will be allowed to participate in each event. For State Level

tournaments, one player from each district will be allowed for game as mentioned above.

However, this rule shall not apply to Swimming & Athletics where two participants from

each District per event will be allowed. The event and weight category must be mentioned

in front of each participant in the eligibility form.

For date of birth, the admission and withdrawal register will be considered to settle an

objection raised by the other team. The team under objection will produce the relevant

record within two hours before the jury for the settlement of the issue. The decision/action

of jury shall be final and binding.

The concerned District Education Officers shall ensure the availability of First Aid

Kit/Drinking water Medical facilities/Discipline/Proper marking of the grounds etc. at the

venue of the match.

All the officials who are on duty during the tournament must be in proper sports dress.

Otherwise strict action will be taken against them by the department.

You are, therefore, requested to conduct/organize the Block/District Level tournaments

as per the details of disciplines given above. The Dates in this regard will be conveyed to you very

soon.
