Education & training

General reflection

• In the bigger picture of EU objectives • Recognition of important topics• Ambitious text and fairly user friendly• But quite vague, nothing really new• Contradiction with financial & political realities at

national level• Concerns of place of NFE (and not NFL)

Education & training

Implications for YiA

• Priorities for YiA will change

• Youthpass recognition in this new context?

• Paper is a big political support for what YiA does already

How to “sell” the big potential of NFE?

Employability & entrepreneurship

General reflection

• Generally positive feedback, close to needs of yp in changing society

• But difficult to implement: different national realities, lack of concrete proposals for tools

• Concerns about place of NFE & yp seen as objects

Page 7: Reflection & proposals on the new framework Group 6 “the cage group”

Implications within YiA

• New formats for the new programme to reach objectives of strategy

• Emphasis on Youth initiatives (need of impact research on yp competences, especially entrepreneurship)

• YiA & youth work should promote entrepreneurship & creativity for its own structures
