8 Rivercrest Drive, Quispamsis, NB E2E1W4 February 23, 2015 To Whom It May Concern: I am very pleased to have been asked to write this endorsement letter on behalf of Jacob Weinstein. I have had the privilege of knowing Jake for approximately 2 years, beginning with his first day as a Seawolves Basketball player at UNB Saint John. From the first day I met Jake I have known him to be an honest, unassuming, quiet, sincere and caring individual in all the contact I have had with him. When asked to write this letter I wasn’t sure how I was going to describe Jake as he has so many qualities that I don’t see in others on our team. Jake has shown himself to be very intelligent and hard working over our relationship. He is very committed to his school, and his team, and demonstrates that consistently in his daily life. He has plenty of self-confidence and is willing to tackle most any situation I have put him in. He is competitive in the way he approaches these opportunities as well and sincerely wants to do the very best he can in all things. Jake has been a committed and dedicated player for me, even in the off season when he attended our optional workouts regularly to work on his skills. He has grown as a player and a person and has continued to meet any challenges presented him, both on the Basketball Court, and in the class room. His academic performance has been consistently solid and I’ve never received any concerns from his Professors that would prevent his participation in Basketball. As a basketball coach for the past 20 years I have seen few that exhibit the personal qualities that Jake has in the time I’ve known him. I wish I had had the opportunity to meet and coach him many years sooner as he has been an inspiration to me as well. Players like Jake are the reason coaches’ coach!!! For that, I whole-heartedly recommend him for consideration for the Sports Management Program and wish him every bit of luck in his future endeavors. There is no doubt in my mind that he will achieve whatever he puts his mind to both academically and vocationally. If you have questions or need to discuss personally, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Peter B. Vincent Head Coach – Men’s Basketball UNB Saint John Seawolves 506-849-3933 (H) – [email protected] (Home)
