Thanks to Ms. Balfe for adapting this favorite tradition into a virtual event! Please use Ms. Balfe’s Zoom link to join the fun. Students are welcome to log on at 1:30pm. The story & sing-along will be from 1:45 -2:30pm. A Reed School Welcome to our New RUSD Board Members Please help me extend a warm welcome to our new RUSD Board members— Liz Webb and Jacqueline Jaffee. Liz and Jacqueline were sworn in officially at last evening’s meeting. Thank you both for your commitment, dedication, and willingness to serve our entire RUSD community in this important capacity. Safety Reminder Please avoid the temptation to dart across Lyford Drive when walking with your child(ren) to and from school each morning. We ask that you park carefully and walk with your child to the crosswalk at Lyford Drive and Tiburon Boulevard where the crossing guard will be waiting for you. There have been a couple of close calls on Lyford Drive with cars coming a little too quickly down the hill. The safety of our families is our number one priority. Reed Community Supports a Season of Giving & Gratitude Thank you to our Reed School families for your unwavering generosity this holiday season. Our PTA shared the overwhelming success of the Food Drive and the Adopt-a- Family project. Please read more below.

Phase 1 Distance Learning Schedule January 5-8A reminder that we will be following the Phase 1 Distance Learning schedule the week ofJanuary 5-8. The goal is to ensure a safe return to in-person learning for all beginningJanuary 11. Reed families are asked to be extra mindful of the Regional Stay at HomeOrder and travel advisory set by Public Health during this holiday season. Families alsoare encouraged to participate in the district-sponsored COVID testing during the week ofJanuary 5 (details to follow from the district).

We are so appreciative of our Reed School Community and the collective efforts ofeveryone toward maintaining a safe, healthy, and positive learning environment for all.

Thank you for your support of Reed Elementary School and the PTA during thisextraordinary year. Thank you for the tremendous support and generosity as we brought holiday cheer to sixfamilies through Adopt A Family of Marin. The families were overwhelmed with theoutpouring of love and we thank everyone who played a role in making these families’holiday seasons brighter. Reed Raccoon Food Drive through December 18th:

Our Annual Reed Raccoon food drive in support of the SF-Marin Food Bank has alreadycollected over 400 pounds of donated food. This year, our donations are even moreimportant as the number of people in need of food assistance is staggering during thepandemic.

Bins are outside of the front office, so please bring in your donations now throughDecember 18th. Thank you in advance for your generosity! #ReedKindness
