This information is to briefly explain overall benefits of our Tivoli Monitoring Products and to increase the conversations with our customers around system state management.
Tivoli Storage Manager is used to protect critical applications and Servers in customer environments.
System state management is not a nice to have. It is a must have for organizations today. Understanding the state and performance of a specific CI is critical for some organizations.
ITM provides the system performance and state management that. ITM can monitor CPU, Memory, IP Network performance to provide a better overall Server State.
With TSM v6 we leverage the ITM solution to provide monitoring and reporting of the critical factors backup administrators need to understand.
With ITM added to the Storage solution we can not only monitor and report on backup data that is handled by TSM but also provide administrators the insight to better understand the characteristics of the machines that TSM is protecting.
With ITM, a TSM administrators has the information for problem determination and performance tracking.
