Scenario 1- You are planning and preparing to visit classrooms to
assist your students in understanding the changes to the SAT Suite
of Assessments and how the College Board Readiness and Success
System can enhance their college and career plans. Knowing that
the feeder middle school provides only a brief overview of the
Redesigned SAT and PSAT related assessments, your guidance
lesson must cover all necessary information for freshman students
to understand the various aspects including developing a
personalized practice plan.
TASK: identify the content to share with a freshman class about the Redesigned Assessments and College Readiness and Success System in preparing them to begin developing their own path to success.
Activity
Scenario 2- You have just returned to school from attending
a College Board Counselor Workshop . While meeting with
your principal, she couldn’t seem to put the Counselor
Resource Guide down and would like you to “turn-key” the
information within the guide to the appropriate audiences
so that teachers, parents and students are receiving the
most relevant topics according to their involvement within
the Redesigned SAT Suite of Assessments.
TASK: please outline the topics that you would choose to share with students, parents and/or teachers.
