All around, we could all put in that little extra effort not to trash recyclables.Speaking of, did you know that you could recycle these with commingled?

Recycling plastic is fantastic.

Half & Half Challenge: 50% Diversion(You know our goal is 50% by 2015, right?)

If for all of August

and alll of September

and alllllll of October

NIH has a 50% monthly recycling rate (without construction debris)

then each Building gets an automatic 25 POINTS

Scoreboard:(You know, everybody wins when we save resources.)

Can Challenge: It’s a Wrap50 POINTS. 5% DECREASE in trash. Bonus 5pts for every 5% over 5%.

Blue Bin and Mini Trash Can Challenge: Downsize

25 POINTS. 75%-100% Desk side recycling use. Bonus 5pts if Green Team Leads help assess their own spaces.

Half & Half Challenge: 50% Diversion25 POINTS. 100% in this together.

Tiebreaker(You know there’s a chance this competition is too easy so . . .)

Relocating and having to dig up fossilized files from the 90s? Try to recycle as much as possible during the process.

You Know . . .Recycling is tracked by building, but some buildings share a trash collection point. Encourage and remind each other to stop and consider if an item can be recycled before throwing it in the trash.
