REPLAS—PROUDLY AUSTRALIAN MADE AND OWNED

Unlike other outdoor furniture which may need constant maintenance, these recycled-plastic seats will not split, splinter, crack or ever need painting making them the perfect choice for your outdoor area.

Partnering with a national retailer to close the loop on plastic recycling is a proud achievement for the team at Replas. Woolworths already participates in the REDcyle Program, but now the supermarket chain is installing recycled-plastic seats to be used in stores all around the country. Each seat includes a plaque that states ‘Take a seat and rest easy knowing that recycled shopping bags have been used to make this bench.’

Beverley Dawson, a customer at the Woolworths Ferntree Gully store in Victoria, told us; ‘This concept of making products from waste shopping bags used in store is a wonderful idea and the seats look sturdy and blend in beautifully.’

The Replas ‘Select’ range of recycled plastic seating recently obtained new certification from Furntech-AFRIDI (Australasian Furnishing Research and Development Institute). Following testing for use in severe commercial applications (Level 6, the highest level for assessment), Replas has obtained the standard AS/NZS 4688:2000 (R2016) Furniture – Fixed Height Chairs.

In practical terms, this means that the ‘Select’ range of seats performs well against the standards in this classification for strength, durability, stability, and safety, and will meet most commercial needs.

It is a true product stewardship model, sharing responsibility for a product’s life cycle between manufacturers, distributors and consumers.

A proud partnership

The REDcycle Program, an initiative involving the RED Group, Replas, Coles, Woolworths and someof Australia's most-loved retailers and brands, helps address the issue of recycling flexible plastic.

Replas may now display the AFRDI blue ‘tick’ to acknowledge this performance standard.

More than 700 Replas bollards were installed by Cremasco Civil along Chung Wah Terrace in Palmerston, Northern Territory, almost a year ago.

Since then, the 125 mm bollards have proved that they are the perfect choice for the location.

Cremasco Civil confirmed that, given the choice, they only use Replas bollards. ‘They are consistent and can withstand our extreme weather better than any I have used or seen, said Tony Long from Cremasco Civil. ‘Replas are friendly and professional to deal with and we always look forward to our next Replas job.’

Sign of the TimesA sign in Maud Kehoe Park in Queensland's Atherton Tablelands that was replaced with Replas recycled material has received the thumbs up from the supplier of the original timber sign.

With a history of using Replas products, the quality and performance of the new sign came as no surprise to Tablelands Regional Council.

‘The original painted chipboard sign did not stand up to the tropical weather here,’ said Jacob Grundling from Tablelands Region Council. ‘The Replas replacement accurately matched the profiles we requested, will eliminate the issues of water penetration, and was so easy to install that a Grade 4 student could have done it!’

Tablelands Regional Council takes every opportunity to support sustainability and recycling, and will continue to use Replas products wherever possible in its commitment to being environmentally friendly.

Lakeside Trex® Favourite

Rhett, the local Trex® Professional, loves how easily the Trex® deck can be laid and says that the straight, consistent boards make for an excellent finish. The owner of the property loves the low maintenance appeal of Trex®.

Replas are in the process of developing a new decking board that meets the Australian standard of BAL 40.
