INFORMATION TO THE COMMUNITY The Pastor of Blessed Sacrament Church Rev. Gabriel Jaime Toro Rivas is pleased to inform you that for a period of three (3) months beginning in September, the Liturgy office of the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens, authorized the opening of two new Masses in Spanish, to the joy and fervor of our community.

The schedule of the new Masses is as follows:

    1. On the first Thursday of each month, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, then the Rosary will be made, which will be in charge of the various groups and parish ministries, and will be followed by Holy Mass at 7:30 pm.

    2. Every Sunday we will have a Mass in Spanish at 6:00 pm. This Mass opens the opportunity to attend the Sunday Eucharist, to all those who for different reasons cannot attend it during the weekend and prefer this time.

I invite you to support this initiative to consolidate this new Mass schedule, as part of the liturgical life of our parish.

“What you have done with us, Lord, is a deserved punishment, because we have sinned against you and we did

not carry out what you had commanded us to do.”

Today we reflect on life and death as existence saved and lost. The prophet puts his finger on personal responsibility. Everyone one is the protagonist in the course of its luck. God calls all of us to life, to work and service and finally to salvation, but each one chooses from his own existence to save himself or to be condemned: When the wicked man turns from the evil he did and practices the right to justice, he saves his life himself, otherwise as the prophet Ezekiel tells us, he will be lost. Remember, Lord that your Mercy is eternal…. In today’s gospel we see how Jesus, to act as a liberator of humanity, covers three stages: 1) He does not renounce his divine condition, but makes it available to us; 2) He does not save us from the outside but from within and 3) He does not remain in the same miseries that he lives, but he comes out of it, to take the same companions on the way to true freedom: He, despite his divine condition, does not flaunt,, he stripped himself of his rank and took the status of a slave…. To give us life and eternal life. “My sheep listen to my voice, says the Lord - and I know them, and they follow me, Hallelujah. With this invitation I exhort you to consecrate ourselves throughout the month of October, in honor of our Lady of the Rosary to unite all our requests and needs and give them to her, especially with the opening of our two new Masses in Spanish: The first Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm and every Sunday at 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome. ADDITIONAL NOTE: I want in a special way to thank with all my heart those who accompanied me in the Solemn Eucharist of Installation as Pastor of Blessed Sacrament, and the social act presided by His excellency Most Rev. Paul Sánchez, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn, to the Priests of our parish and staff, as well as our dear Deacons and Wives, to the members of the various pastoral groups. Thanks to all my family, relatives and friends from Colombia and those who joined in such a worthy online transmission of our page. Web.

Cordially,, Father, Gabriel Jaime Toro Rivas - Pastor.

Welcome all to the two new Eucharist that we will open from October 1. Eucharistic Thursdays on the first Thursday of each month (October

    1) we will have Holy Hour from 10 am to 11 am and then the Holy Hour will remain Exposed for Adoration until 7 pm, when we will have the Solemn Blessing and then the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm and the Holy Mass at 7:30 pm in charge of one the parish groups.

    2. Every Sunday beginning on October 4 we will have Mass in Spanish at 6:00 pm for those who, due to travel, work or other activities, have not been able to attend during the weekend. We wait for you cordially.
