    Q: Can Stevens guarantee that I will receive my CDL?A: Tere are no guarantees whatsoever. Your success at earning your CDL is up to you. Stevens doesprovide a highly-regarded training program that teaches you everything you need to learn and increasesyour odds o success.Q: Do I need my CDL beore driving or Stevens ransport?

    A: Yes. By law, Stevens ransport cannot hire you to drive a commercial vehicle without your CDL.Stevens Driving Academy provides all the training necessary to earn your certication.

    Q: Am I required to have a HAZMA endorsement on my CDL?A: Although it is BENEFICIAL to do so, it is not required. See Chapter 9 o your CDL handbook ormore inormation about the HAZMA endorsement.

    FAQs: TrainingQ: How much will training cost me?A: Depending upon which training school you attend, you can be ully reimbursed. I you choose Ste-

    vens or a select partner, then a large part o your tuition will be covered. I you attend another approvedinstitute, with a 120 hour minimum training program, then Stevens oers reimbursement up to $6,000.We also provide 100% nancing or our students so there is no up-ront cost to you.

    Q: Is there housing available i I am going through the Dallas driving school?A: Low-cost housing is available with no-interest nancing, i needed. Housing is also provided in Den-

    ver, Colorado. Housing not available in Houston.

    Q: Are my meals paid or by Stevens while I am attending the Stevens Driving Academy?A: Payment or meals is the students responsibility. I needed, Stevens will provide a no-interest loan o$70 per week to cover cost o meals in Dallas location only.

    Q: How do I get to the Stevens Driving Academy?A: I you do not provide your own transportation, well send you a bus ticket to get you to Dallas, exas.Well also nance the cost o that ticket.

    Q: How oen do I get a paycheck?A: Stevens company drivers receive payment within 48 hours or two business days rom the time theyturn in their load verication paperwork. Payment will be either mailed, wired or sent to direct deposit.

    Q: How do I get paid?A: Stevens uses ransfow to pay our drivers. ransfow is located at most truck stops and allows you toscan and send your trips to Stevens instantly, so that you can get paid quicker. ransfow is more reliablethan mail and takes 48 hours or two business days.

    Q: How is my pay calculated?A: Drivers are paid based on the number o miles driven. Stevens has the longest length o haul in the

    industry with routes across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Tat gives our drivers one o the highestmiles-per-driver averages in the industry. Plus, drivers can receive extra pay and bonuses or varioussituations.

    Q: Does Stevens ransport provide layover pay?A: Yes, drivers receive $25 a day or typical layovers. While waiting or a trailer in Laredo, exas, driversreceive $75 per day.

    Q: Does Stevens ransport pay or extra stop-os?A: Yes, you are paid $15 or your 2nd and 3rd stop-os or pick-ups, and $25 or each one aer that.

    Q: Do I get paid or all o the miles I drive?A: Stevens ransport pays or all dispatched miles- loaded or empty.

    Q: Is there a way to increase my income as a driver?A: Yes, we have several career paths that allow you to make more money. As a company driver, you canincrease your income by driving more miles. You can also join our Alliance Lease program or the op-portunity to run your own business by leasing one o our top-o-the-line trucks. Or, you can become

    an owner-operator with Stevens providing you with all the miles you need to be successul while youincrease your income.

Local routesget you home every night, regional and dedicated routes allow drivers to get home every 7 to 10 days.Drivers on national routes will arrive home every 3 to 4 weeks.

    I started back in 1989 and have since claimed Stevens ransport as my second home. It was mybrother, Allen Hutchison (Employed 5/27/88 Present), who originally reerred me to Ste-vens. I was a Company Driver or about 1 1/2 years beore I received my rainer Certication in1991. I have been training students ever since. I average 3,500 miles a week and get home every5 weeks or 5 days. I train both male and emale students. You have to have an open mind andbe willing to be taught in order to be successul. I love what I do. Most o all, I enjoy teaching mystudents what I know about the industry. I have run over 2 million miles with Stevens so thatshould tell you, I know a lot! What do I like most about Stevens? I would say two things: Stevensis very- Saety Oriented and their training program speaks or itsel. Secondly, and equally just as
