• The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) was signed into law by President Obama on February 17th, 2009

• $43 billion is to be distributed to the U.S Energy sector

• $111 Billion is to be allocated to Infrastructure improvements and Science

• $16.4 billion will be allocated to the U.S Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
