Deep inside all of us, there is a place where our highest good and strongest desires

are held.

Page 4: Reconnecting to Your Internal Guidance System

By tuning into this place we

are able to achieve all we aspire to and can create the

life that we want.

Some people are able to connect easily with this

place, and have been able to from an early age. Most

of us have stopped listening to it and have

forgotten how to tune in.

We have grown disconnected from our

heart's compass.

If we hope to give our children a

positive path to happiness we must

cultivate an ear toward deeper listening and

feeling once again.

It is not uncommon for some parenting coaches to emphasize the importance

of managing your own thoughts. They may urge you to provide a good role

model and think positively as much as

possible.

If you have ever practiced managing your thoughts, you

might have quickly found that this can be a daunting and virtually

impossible task.

It is certain that thoughts are instrumental in helping us

create our lives, but children don't always respond to words. More often, they

respond to and match what you do.

As you apply positive

attitudes in your own life,

it's hopeful that your children's lives will

mimic yours

Feelings exist in a vibrational field. They are of a vibrational nature. We use words to interpret and share our

feelings with others, but they are merely symbols of the deeper reality

of our feelings.

Thought is related to the rational side of our brain, and feelings are

related to our heart and our Internal Guidance System (IGS). When we tune into our IGS, we

begin to step into the life that we want to live, and at the same

time, show our children how to tune into their own IGS.

When we align ourselves with positive feelings, things, and people, events that no longer serve us begin

to fall away. This is also true for your children

We are all born with an IGS, but many of us are trained out of listening to it by our parents,

teachers, and even our friends. Our inner voice often grows

neglected and becomes very quiet.

We may tune out our inner voice for any number of social or cultural reasons. We can even become distrustful of it. It may grow louder and shout at us that we are choosing the wrong path or making the wrong decisions. We can begin to feel regret rather than a connection to the happy existence we are meant to have.

Commonly, adults are taught that we must listen to our heads, be rational, and pragmatic if we are going to get

into the good schools, get the best jobs, and grow the largest bank accounts.

Page 18: Reconnecting to Your Internal Guidance System

We learn to put the inner wisdom aside and go with the best

conceived plan. This is totally backwards.

Page 19: Reconnecting to Your Internal Guidance System

Leading only with the head, people may ultimately becoming dissatisfied

with their lives

Thankfully, our IGS doesn’t go away. We only need to

reconnect to it and it will point us toward what makes us truly

happy. When we figure out how to do that, it's easier to teach our children to find their own

paths to happiness, too.

Page 21: Reconnecting to Your Internal Guidance System

When we start listening to our IGS we can begin living more authentically.

We will strive for happiness automatically, and we will attract

what we most want out of life.
