RECOMMENDATION
With this recommendation I would like to express my great satisfaction with the work of
Olya Georgieva, while she was an intern at the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria in January 2016.
Ms. Georgieva joined the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria in a period when the organisation was
preparing several key events. She joined the team and positively contributed for the
successful realisation of two main events- “Where Does Europe Go: The EU Dutch
Presidency 2016” – discussion with the ambassador of the Netherlands to Bulgaria – H.E.
Thomas Van Oorschot and the Minister of Justice of Bulgaria – H.E. Ekaterina Zaharieva and
a public lecture by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary – H.E. Péter
Szijártó – “The European Union and the challenges ahead”. Both events have been attended
by a number of renowned politicians, journalists, ambassadors and prominent academics. In
addition to her intern responsibilities, Ms. Georgieva took a leadership role and had a great
contribution to the drafting of a workshop bound up with the development of the women in
the technology sphere namely Rails Girls (workshop aimed at women with zero or minimal
experience in programming and technology).
During her entire internship, Ms. Georgieva executed accurately and promptly all the tasks of
her responsibility. Moreover, she demonstrated very good interpersonal skills in the way she
collaborated with her colleagues, high motivation and notable responsibility. Ms. Georgieva
has excellent communication skills in foreign languages and I was particularly impressed
with her command of English and acute interest in current events.
Ms. Georgieva performs her tasks with enthusiasm and discipline and has the patience to
fine-tune everything she does. She is a very good team player and a superb idea-generator.
I strongly believe in her strong academic and professional future and I highly recommend her
to your institution. I will be happy to provide you with any additional information upon
request.
Sincerely,
Dr. Solomon Passy
President
The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria
