RECOMMENDATION

Development of khangkhui Mangsor Cave as a Tourist Destination, Ukhrul is adjacent to the

Mangsor Cave in Khangkhui Khullen Village under Ukhrul District. The destination would not only

promote ecotourism and aesthetic value of the area but also increase the livelihood of the people

around it. The proposed area is unavoidable and barest minimum. The proposal for diversion of

0.979493 Ha forest land under Khangkhui Khullen is recommended subject to the following

conditions:

a) The user agency shall physically demarcate the diverted forest area and no destruction of

forest shall be allowed beyond the demarcated boundary.

b) Unauthorised establishment of camps/huts shall not be allowed in the adjoining forest

without proper forest clearance.
