    Organizational IntroductionMicrosoft Innovation Center Nepal (hereinafter referred to as MIC Nepal) is a tech center which offers a comprehensive set of programs and services to

    foster innovation and grow sustainable local software economy.

    Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC) is:

    Afacilityforlocalsoftwareeconomyengagement,developmentandoutreach,inpartnershipwithandservinglocalindustry,governmentand academicconstituencies.MICNepalcreatesanenvironmenttogivesoftwaredevelopers,ITprofessionals,universitystudentsandfaculty, entrepreneurs and governments access to world-class resources. Our current global network of 110 worldwide MICs serves 48 nations including

    oneinKathmandu,Nepal.

    MICcontentandservices:WhileeachCentertunesitsprogramstolocalneeds,theyallprovidesimilarcontentandservicesdesignedto acceleratetechnologyadvancesandstimulatelocalsoftwareeconomiesthroughskillsbuilding,localinnovationandsolutionsbuilding,and business acceleration though industry partnerships. A standard list of MIC programs is listed below.

    MIC offerings focus on at least two (and preferably all) of the following areas:

    Buildingskillsandintellectualcapitalthroughtrainingcourses,employmentprogramsandmentoringexperiencescoveringnotonlytechnical skills but also business skills required to support local entrepreneurs and small ISVs.

    FosteringlocalbusinessgrowththruindustrypartnershipsprogramsonhowtoworksuccessfullywithMicrosoft,aswellasthroughthe cultivationoflocalandregionalindustryalliances;workingwithlocalincubators,technologyparksanduniversitiestosupportISVs,System Integrators and Startups on business development activities.
