Making soapnut liquid

Boil 50g of soapnuts in 1 litre of water for 20

minutes. When cool, poor into an airtight

container (this should give you 500ml of soapnut liquid).

Return boiled soapnuts to pan and repeat steps above three times. After doing this, you will have two litres of soapnut liquid from only 50g soapnuts!!

To make a cleaner…Just add 10 – 20 drops of an essential oil like Lavender, Tea-Tree, or Oregano

You can also use the liquid to wash clothes…Use 100ml in a dosing ball in your drum, and wash clothes as directed…Awesome!!

To make soapnut liquid foam…Take 100ml of soapnut liquid and blend it up in a hand blender VOILA!

The foam can be used for shaving, washing pets, bubble bath and for foam parties!

Tip – reuse, reduce, recycle *

After you have made the soapnut liquid there will be saponin in the shell, so use these in your laundry as usual. Or Compost them.

SO… if you buy a 250 g box of soapnuts you can make 10 litres of soapnut liquid. If you use 100 ml of the liquid in each wash that’s 100 washes!!... Thus making it last even longer!!
