DESCRIPTION
Students in Mrs. E. Eubanks’ second grade class and Mrs. Willis’ fifth grade class wrote collaboratively on their iPods, basing their writing on the book “Recess at 20 Below” by Cindy Lou Aillaud. They also were fortunate to Skype with the author from Alaska!TRANSCRIPT
Recess Around the Seasons

When we come to school we unpack, do math, have a snack, do reading, then go to recess. At recess we hang out with friends, play taps, kickball, slide, zip on the zip line, jump rope, soccer, swing, hang on the monkey bars, tag, football, and play dodge ball. When it is time to go in the teacher raises her hand and says "it's time to go in".
In spring it is about 80'F or above. In spring we wear short sleeve shirts and shorts.
In the fall it is about 60'F to 80'F. In fall we wear short sleeves shirts and pants or shorts. In winter it is about 60'F or below. In winter we wear long sleeve shirts, jackets and pants. A lot of pants!!! We can't go outside if it is pouring down raining or an animal is out on the playground. Why can't you go outside? If we can't go outside we play Silly Sports and Goofy Games, 7 Up and stuff like that. What do you do if you can't go outside?
When we come back from recess we
have lunch. Then we have science and social studies. Next we have special classes. FUN!!!
Our special classes include art, music, P.E, media, guidance, and technology. They are all very fun!!! What special classes do you have? After specials we come in to pack up and do A.M (math) until 2:30 then we do A.R(reading) for the rest of the day. The bell rings at 2:50 so we gotta run!!! By: Dev, Tityana, and Hallie
