Cost: $7 per lesson or $68 Full sessions $8 Registration fee This program combines safety awareness education with self-defense instruction in a fun, structured environment! Students are placed into classes according to age and ability. Students learn and practice verbal and physical skills for self-defense against “Bullies” and Strangers.” Course content includes: Breakaway, techniques for close-contact (being grabbed), communication skills and confident posture. Centros de Recursos Comunitarios

The Pomona Youth and Family Master Plan (YFMP) is a blueprint for change that points the way to a brighter future for Pomona’s youth and families. The YFMP Community Board, which consists of youth, residents, and community service providers, is dedicated to the development of a comprehensive plan that links existing programs, identifies the need for tested and effective services, and provides a vehicle for the dissemination of information to Pomona youth and their

families. Meetings held the 2nd Thursday of every month at Ganesha Park Center at 3:30 p.m.

The CRC is a free referral service that provides access to local medical, educational, social, and recreation services. For further information, call (909) 620-2324.

This designation makes it possible for the community to visit or call the Palomares Senior

Center to obtain information and access to aging services.

The POMONA GROUP SERVICE is a transportation program sponsored by the City of Pomona and operated by the Pomona Valley Transportation Authority. It is available for the general public and groups of six or more riders. All trips using the Group Service must begin within the City of Pomona. Groups may travel from Pomona to any location within the four cities of Claremont, La Verne, Pomona and San Dimas, also riders may request a return trip. Cost: $.50 per one way trip $.75 for roundtrip
