Using exclusive musIQ® technology, chord changes from MIDI instruments and guitars are ana-lyzed to provide the most musically-cor-rect harmonies available. Lead vocals can benefit from Real-time Pitch Correction option which offers mild to aggressive shifting to keep the lead voice in key. Gender Control offers realistic gender shifting of harmonies creating male and/or female backup vocals from any vocal input. Single-level programmability and five user-defined voicing patches allow the VL3D to be programmed on the fly without missing a note.

The VL3D also includes reverb (studio, room and hall) and a pre-effects section with warmth, compression, de-esser, and noise gate. Additionally, there are controls for Harmony Mix, A/B part selector and Humanizing adjustment for dialing in the precision of harmony voice timing.
