Where did the naming come from?

The word tennis came from the word “Tenez” which means Take heed. ( A WARNING FROM THE SENDER TO THE RECIEVER)

Founded in France in the dark ages (12th century)

It is said that It was played by monks at first.

In 1596 there were 250 courts in paris alone near the peek of it’s popularity.
