ENTRY-LEVEL CLINICAL HEALTHCARE
Cardiac Care Technicians and EKG Technicians
Get a job at a medical practice, cardiac care center, or a
hospital when you choose this career path. At MTC, you’ll
learn how to prepare patients for testing and monitoring the
electrical activity of the heart.
Nursing Assistants
As a nursing assistant, you can work in home care, assisted
living and long-term care facilities, rehab centers, and acute
care hospitals. MTC offers this pathway to become a Certified
Nursing Assistant.
Phlebotomists
As a phlebotomist, you draw blood from patients for lab tests
and procedures. Employment opportunities can be found in
medical practices and hospitals.
DENTAL CARE
Dental Hygienists
Start your career in a dental office providing preventive oral
care. Dental Hygiene graduates consistently perform at a
high level on licensure exams and practice as Registered
Dental Hygienists.
Expanded Duty Dental Assistants (EDDAs)
Become a dental team member in restorative and specialty
dental practices by completing this academic diploma
program. MTC graduates can complete the credentialing exam
to become Certified Dental Assistants (CDA).
IMAGING AND MEDICAL LAB DIAGNOSTICS
Computed Tomography Technologists
This program is an advanced academic certificate program for
educating CT Techs to produce cross-sectional X-ray images.
Previous completion of an accredited radiologic technology,
radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine program is required.
Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
If you hold a bachelor’s degree or an associate degree with
a healthcare clinical component, you can study to become a
general or specialized cardiac sonographer.
Nuclear Medicine Technologists
As a nuclear medicine tech, you provide information for patient
diagnosis and treatment through safe application of radioactive
materials. This advanced academic certificate requires you
to have completed college health sciences and/or science
coursework prior to entry.
Medical Laboratory Technicians
As a lab tech, you perform precise procedures under the
supervision of medical technologists and pathologists. You’ll
learn to operate computerized lab equipment and to use
quality-control methods to ensure accurate patient test results.
Radiographers (X-ray Technologists)
Radiographers perform X-ray examinations of the body. You’ll
learn to use the highly technical X-ray equipment by working
in hospitals, medical offices, trauma centers, and urgent care
centers as a member of an imaging team.
MEDICAL OFFICE AND HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
Health Information Technicians
Health info techs analyze and manage patient data in health
records, as well as compile data to produce reports for
compliance monitoring, planning, evaluation, and research.
Medical Coders
As a medical coder, you assign diagnostic and procedural
codes, which are important for reimbursements and
research databases.
Medical Office Administrative Assistants
Become a medical office administrative assistant and get
started in your career at a hospital, outpatient clinic, or a
group practice. You will learn essential skills for the healthcare
office environment.
NURSING
Associate Degree Nursing (ADN)
This accredited program incorporates a base of biological
and social sciences with the knowledge and skills necessary
for the practice of nursing in the Registered Nurse (RN) role.
Classroom instruction and clinical experience are provided in
local healthcare facilities.
Practical Nursing (PN)
This accredited program teaches you the knowledge and skills
necessary to become an effective practical nurse. You will
learn basic nursing skills in an academic program that balances
classroom instruction with relevant clinical experience.
PHARMACY PRACTICE SUPPORT
Pharmacy Technicians
Pharmacy technicians work under the supervision of registered
pharmacists to prepare drugs and fill prescriptions. With both
a diploma and certificate program available at MTC, you’ll
gain classroom, online, and experiential learning in local
pharmacies and hospital systems.
THERAPEUTIC AND DIRECT PATIENT CARE
Clinical Massage Therapists
Become a clinical massage therapist at MTC, and you could
find yourself working in a variety of healthcare settings, spas,
or health clubs, or you could even open your own practice
one day.
Emergency Medical Technicians (Basic)
At MTC, we offer a 200-hour course to train you to care for
victims of sudden and serious illness in emergency situations.
Medical Assistants
You’ll be able to perform a wide range of medical assisting
duties in physicians’ offices, clinics, hospitals, and emergency
medical centers when you finish this academic certificate.
You’ll gain clinical experiences through externships in a variety
of outpatient settings.
Physical Therapist Assistants
PTAs carry out treatment programs, under direct supervision
of physical therapists, inclusive of therapeutic exercises and
modalities essential to assist patients to regain function. MTC
offers an accredited degree program that provides clinical
experience in a variety of healthcare settings.

a part of a highly technical life-support team. The program
provides clinical experiences to build student competencies in
treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of individuals suffering
from breathing abnormalities.

a balanced set of experiences in the classroom, lab, and
