Welcome our new Parish Administrative Assistant!!

Our current Secretary, Sherry Harrell, concludes her cherished services to the

parish family at the end of September 2021. She retired last year but has held on

to the fort throughout the year. She needs time to attend to family businesses and

so we cannot hold on to her, although we love to. However, Sherry has offered to

help the parish whenever the need arises. We are so grateful to her for her dedi-

cation and commitment to duty all these years.

We are privileged to have a replacement for Sherry in the person of Christy Gonzalez, a member of St. Eliza-

beth Ann Seton, Cairo. She is a mother of two and speaks both English and Spanish. Christy started work last

Monday and is very excited to be with us, and very enthusiastic about her new job. Find some time to stop by

the office to introduce yourself and welcome Christy Gonzalez, our new Secretary/Bookkeeper. Please offer

Christy all the support and cooperation she needs to work for our parish family. We wish both Sherry and

Christy the best in their transitions.

CCW will hold a meeting on Monday, August

23, 2021 at 6:00 PM in the church hall. The

restructure committee’s report will be shared with

members and a vote will be held. The vote will re-

sult in the continuation of CCW or exiting the pro-

gram. Please come, get information and vote.

After consulting with Fr. Godfred, we have decided to cancel this year's

rummage sale due to safety concerns. We have donated items that have

been in storage almost 2 years and would like to support our local chari-

ties with offering them our items. If you have a charity that would like us

to contact about receiving a donation of items, please contact Carolyn

Treadon ([email protected] or 850.445.9293) with the contact infor-

mation by 31 August.
