…to the spring 2014 season here at Reading Culture and Sport.

It’s hard to believe yet another year has passed! But we can now all look forward to a

year of the very best shows and events coming to Reading.

Sumptuous productions abound at The Hexagon with the 60th Anniversary production of

Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, Moscow City’s Ballets Swan Lake & Romeo and Juliet,

Verdi’s grand old Opera Aida as well as ‘Strictly’ favourites Brendan Cole and Anton du

Beke, plus the return of The Buddy Holly Story.

South Street Arts Centre continues its  acclaimed programme of Comedy, Theatre,

Children’s Shows and Live Music with the likes of Perth Theatre, Blind Summit, Lisa Knapp,

Richard Herring & Sean Hughes to name a few.

While Reading Museum exhibits a fascinating series of portraits from Tudor to Modern times,

as well as a nostalgic look back at a Reading institution, Jacksons Dept Store, as it closes

its doors for the last time.

Wishing you all a great start to 2014 and I hope to see you soon at one of our venues.

Paul Gittings

Lead Councillor for Reading Culture and Sport.
