Narrator: Pete has never been to the library before. Does Pete
worry? Goodness, no! He finds his favorite book and sings his song.

Narrator: Check out Pete. He is ready to eat in a big, noisy room
with tables and seats.
Narrator: Pete has never been to the lunchroom before. Does Pete
worry? Goodness, no! He sits down with his friends and sings his song.

eating in my school shoes!
Narrator: Pete and his friends are playing outside on a green, grassy
field with swings and tall slides.
Narrator: Kids are running in every direction! Does Pete worry?
Goodness, no! He slides, and swings and sings his song.

playing in my school shoes!
Pete: I’m singing in my school shoes, I’m painting in my school shoes,

If You Take Mouse to School

Reader 2: He’ll want a sandwich and a snack. Then he will want to share your backpack.

Reader 2: He will do a little math and spell a word.
Reader 1: Then he’ll need to wash up.
Reader 2: You’ll have to take him to the bathroom.
Reader 1: When he is nice and clean, he’ll want his lunch.
Reader 2: On the way to the lunchroom, he’ll see some blocks.

Reader 1: He’ll build a little mouse house and make some furniture out of clay.
Reader 2: Then he’ll want some books for his bookshelf.
Reader 1: He’ll start by writing one of his own, so he’ll need a lot of paper.

Reader 1: When he is finished, he’ll want to read it to you.
Reader 2: Then he’ll want to take it home so he will put it in your lunchbox.
Reader 1: When the bell rings, he’ll run out to wait for the bus.
Reader 2: While he is waiting, he’ll play a quick game of soccer.
Reader 1: Then he’ll ask you to shoot a few baskets. And do a little skateboarding.
