Position  :  Sr. Technical Engineer – Site Offices ( Main Contractor) 

Project Scope  :   

    Supply and Laying of DI Pipeline 60 km length DN 1600mm from Taweelah station to Umm Al Nar junction. 

    Supply & ‐ Laying the fibre optic cable from Taweelah station to Umm Al Nar junction 

    Construct the related chambers along the Pipeline route (Line Valve, Washout & Air Release Valve Chambers). 

    Construct the Road Crossings whether by Open Cut method or by Non Disruptive Road Crossing (NDRC) for the roads intersect with the DN 1600 Pipeline. 

    Replace of 5 km twin water DI pipeline DN 1200mm instead of CS exiting line. 

    Laying of 3.5 km DI pipeline DN 1200 to Yas Island. Including the marine crossing under water Chaneel to supply the water for Yas Island 

    Laying of 3.5 km of the 33 kv cable from Unit III complex to Al Bahyia sub station. 

    Pump station Buildings (Pump hall, Sub‐station, Hypo‐chlorination & Fire 

Duties/Responsibilities/Tasks    Preparing the documents for obtaining approval from Abu Dhabi Municipality (Road Section) regarding the Non Disruptive Road Crossings (NDRC) and Directional Drilling (HDPE). 

    Preparing/Reviewing the assessment for the quantities of required materials (Concrete works, piping works…….etc) 

    Ensure contract performance and safety measures are met 

    Contribute in preparing of the overall time schedule of the Project detailing from Level 1, 2 and 3 & give a detail breakdown for each stage.  

    Reviewing the progress Monthly, weekly and daily reports. 

    Key contact Person for the Procurement of the main lead item of the Project, including :‐ 

A‐ Ensuring the compliance of Project/International standards for the ordered material. 

B‐ Following up/attending and coordinating the Factory Test at manufacturers/suppliers premises in conjunction with Owner/Engineer and TPIA representatives 

C‐ Following up the shipping of material to destination and dealing with forwarders, shipping agent & transportation agents. 

   

    Follow-up the sub-contractors within the Project for the major items:

A- Non Destructive Road Crossing ( NDRC) B- Geotechnical Survey Specialist C- TPIA’s for site test. D- TPIA’s for overseas inspection at manufacturers

    Key contact person for procurement of the major imported materials: DI Pipes and Fittings from M/S SG PAM (France), DI Fittings from M/s DUKER (Germany), Valves from M/s MIV (Croatia), Dismantling Joints/Couplings from Helden ( UK) including all inquiries, technical discussions, delivery schedules and correspondences

    Competent Peron authorized from Abu Dhabi Transmission & Dispatch Company ( TRANCO) to issue the safety permit in accordance to TRANSCO’ SSRs. “Permit TO Work (PTW) for Civil works and works near 33 kv cables”

    Authorized person for GASCO authorization to work (ATW).     Prepare the technical submittal for materials for the Pipeline

rated material, reply on comments with respect to applicable Project/International Standards

    Preparing the KKS numbering system for the pipeline works from Taweelah- to Umm Al Nar.

    Preparing the engineering document for Project discipline activities :-

A- Earthwork. B- Concrete Operation. C- DI Pipeline Installation. D- Particular procedures for protection of existing utilites

intersect with pipeline route. E- Hydro-testing of the pipeline. F- Filling, Flushing & Disinfection.

    Dealing with the insurance companies regarding the technical points and preparing the financial claims.

    Contribute in and co-ordinate with the sub-contractor (M/s NSCC/DrillTec JV) for the Marine works to cross the Yas Island channel as followings:

- The Carbon steel Pipes DN 1200 procurements, - Welding Procedure process /NDT testing, - Prepare/Discuss the procedures for the pneumatic test

and hydrostatic test for the CS pipes. - Drilling and reaming stages. - Pulling of the CS pipes under the channel.

    Assistant Commissioning Engineer to implement and one of the commissioning team at site for pre-commissioning/commissioning, initial operation and trail operation activates at site and contribute in preparing the related procedure and reports and issuance for the relevant certificates for each sub-system/system of the project

A- Mechanical Completion Certificate (MCC) B- Filling, Flushing and disinfection of the Pipeline. C- Ready for Commission Certificate ( RFC) D- Ready for Start-up Certificate ( RFSU) E- Provisional Acceptance Certificate ( PAC). F- Final Acceptance Certificate ( FAC)

    Review the financial/Planning aspect of the project with the Planning Team with the presented Cash Flow along the Time life of the Project.
