After the Rest and Relaxation! New Year’s Day, Federal Territory, Thaipusam, CNY, etc, etc. has enabled everyone to have a good rest after a year of hard work in 2014 with the multiple holidays! I hope everyone is recharged and ready to charge into the New Year. The beginning of this year is unique as most of our large

projects are finishing or tailing down and recently secured projects such as the PETRONAS RAPID WTP, Langat CSTP and Langat Pipeline have yet to commence physically. This has enabled most of us to have a more relaxing CNY and start of the year compared to other years. I am pleased to inform that 2014 has been a record year once again with the Group registering significantly higher numbers. We are in the midst of auditing our accounts and I will inform every one of the official results in our next FOCUS issue. Again, it was a job well done and the management would like to thank everyone for their hard work and contributions! LOH & LOH Developments recently received news that it has won two awards for the Airie, Sri Damansara Development. The awards are the ILAM (Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia) for landscape design and implementation, and the Asia Pacific International Property Awards for excellence in Residential Development in Malaysia. I would like to congratulate the development team on these awards. These awards shows recognition of our design and product realization capabilities, and will boost the reputation of our developments. These awards come at a perfect time as we gear up to launch our three new developments in North Kiara, Kelana Jaya and Rawang.

We had our CNY lunch gathering at Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort in February to celebrate Chinese New Year (will be covered in next issue). In line with our expanding growth, even our CNY lunch has grown from 120 to almost 200 participants this year! So much so that the air-conditioning in the hall couldn’t cope! Despite the heat, I hope everyone had fun with the colorful and festive ambience with the games, songs and prizes! Congratulations to all of the lucky winners and SRC for making this another successful event! I hope that everyone will continue to work hard this year and as it is the year of the goat/ram, we should all charge ahead towards greater success together!

Abdul Talib on 9/2/2015. A total 0f 20 VIP participated in the visit that was arranged with the following objectives:

to visit the construction site of the water transfer tunnel that will be used to convey water from the Semantan Intake to the Sungai Langat via 1.8m diameter pipe

to understand the components, process flow and operational aspects of the completed facilities. A briefing on the project was given on the Completion date and the Project Scheme aims to convey inter-state raw water supply at 500MLD. The raw water will be transferred through a tunnel 44.6km long, 5.2 m diameter tunnel and channel with gravity flow through 1.8m diameter pipe to the Sungai Langat. After the briefing, the YB and VIP Visitors were given the opportunity to experience the water quality from the tunnel outlet and outlet structure before discharge to Sungai Langat. The memorable visit by YB ended shortly afterward.

PRACTICALITY A priest, a doctor, and an engineer were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of golfers. Engineer: What's with these guys? We must have been waiting for 15 minutes! Doctor: I don't know but I've never seen such ineptitude! Priest: Hey, here comes the greens keeper. Let's have a word with him. Priest: Hi George. Say George, what's with that group ahead of us? They're rather slow aren't they? George: Oh yes. That's a group of blind fire fighters. They lost their sight while saving our club house last year. So we let them play here anytime free of charge! (silence) Priest: That's so sad. I think I will say a special prayer for them tonight. Doctor: Good idea. And I'm going to contact my ophthalmologist buddy and see if there's anything he can do for them. Engineer: Why can't these guys play at night?
