BACKGROUND

• The System – developed under the “RESYS” project by:

• AGH University of Mining Science and Technology

• Main Institute of Mining

• National Institute of Telecommunications

part of ” Improving Work Safety in Mines” strategic research project under the supervision of the Central

Mines Rescue Station.

• Technical quality assurance input from highly qualified and experienced specialist (mining, electronics,

radio transmission, IT and mechanics) technicians and engineers.

• The project funding was organised by the Polish National Centre for Research and Development

BACKGROUND AND INTERNATIONAL PATENT REGISTRATION

BACKGROUND

• The RE SYS System – developed as a response of “high-tech” to real communication needs of underground mine rescue teams operating in extreme underground conditions.

• Based on US Bureau of Mines research on optimal frequencies for optimal propagation of radio waves underground.

• The result is a robust, Mobile, duplex, effective, safe, portable, flexible, efficient, wireless

• system designed and built to withstand extreme underground conditions including potentially explosive environments at the risk of explosion of methane/ air and / or coal dust mixture.
