Where Did the Idea Originate?July 2010 -- two "sparks" for the idea: • ACRL "Scholarly Communication 101:  Starting with the

Basics" road show -- CULS Summer Institute 2010 at Kansas State University

http://www.ala.org/ala/mgrps/divs/acrl/issues/scholcomm/roadshow.cfm•  CULS Executive Board meeting -- idea proposed by Gloria

Creed-Dikeogu to sponsor a collection of proceedings from the CULS Fall Conference

Also:  several CULS Board members and members at large have presented at Brick and Click and contributed to the annual collection of papers from that conference:http://eric.ed.gov/PDFS/ED513812.pdf    (2010 Proceedings)

Future of CULS Proceedings

Annual commitment  Call for proposals and papers for CULS Fall 2011 Conference, Manhattan, KS Need to revisit "refereed" vs. "peer review" process; what, for example, is accepted by various Tenure and Promotion Committees? Provision of indexing/additional access to proceedings?
