01 Introduction-Korean Medicine Hospital
ü General Direction of Korean-Oriental Hospital Jin Yong Lee
• 1971 : The KOREAN MEDICINE Hospital of Kyung-hee University started with the departments of
Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Acupuncture and Moxibustion, etc. on October 5, 1971
• 1976 : Succeeded in anesthetizing a subject of Caesarean operation by acupuncture on March 22,
1976
Held the first World Congress of Acupunture on October 29, 1976.
• 1977 : Preliminary medical examination appliances of Oriental Medicine and made the data auto-
recorded on September 16, 1977.
• 1981 : Begin publishing the collection of Oriental Medicine materials in July, 1981.
• 1987 : Medical insurance by the government to oriental medicine, treatments in our facilities
began to be covered by medical insurance.
• 2007~Now : We have the 300 beds, 8 special departments, a subsidiary administrative office,
preliminary medical office, medicine office, a team of nurses, etc. preliminary medical office,

• In all, we boast more than 300 employees, and treat more than 300,000 outpatients and 120,000
inpatients per year.
