2016 IMPORTANT CHANGES

The Rotary Community Corps has outgrown the Village Inn.

We will be moving our meetings to the Parker Senior Center beginning April 2016.

10675 Longs Way, Parker, CO 80134

This move will allow us to change and grow in a positive way. Membership will now be open to others

in the community who are interested in serving their community but are unable to join the Rotary Clubs

in Parker. Parents, grandparents, guardians and senior citizens are now welcome to join the RCC!

Meetings be on the 2nd Monday of each month from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. starting in APRIL.

This change will help more of our RCC members to be able to help with projects since we will be able to

work on them during regular meetings.

EVERYONE will be required to complete a new application and sign a new waiver. If possible, please

bring these to the 6 Year Celebration and give to Kam Breitenbach. Applications are at in the newsletter

and attached for your convenience.

Dinner at the Senior Center will be available for $5 with an advance sign up and the meal will be listed

each month in the RCC Newsletter. Reservations must be made by Thursday the week before the

meeting by emailing kamieb1234@gmail.com. We want to have enough food but do not waste food.

Once you have made a reservation you will need to pay the $5.00 even find you cannot be at the meeting,

(this can be paid at the next meeting you attend). We do have to pay for each meal ordered.

If you don’t make a reservation or don’t like the menu, please bring your own dinner.

Parents are welcome to join RCC and order dinner too. There will be a parent table (for parent

members). This way you can have sharing time during dinner and be on hand to help with projects or

hear our speaker. In order to stay at the Senior Center during meetings, you are required to complete

and application and waiver.

There will not be meals or seating for non-RCC member parents at the Senior Center during our meetings.

PROJECT AT OUR APRIL MEETING

We will be making Emergency Kits. The Rotary Club of Ft. Collins

met several of our RCC members recently and would like to

support this club. They have offered to send our kits to Nepal.

DONATIONS ACCEPTED

If you would like to help with materials, we will need the following:

Toothbrushes & Toothpaste

Disposable gloves – box of 50

We will be purchasing other items by bulk with our fundraising

money.

We are looking at making close to 200 Emergency Kits. Starting

with 100 – 200 kits would be awesome.

TUESDAY, January 12th.

6 Year Celebration - Tuesday, January 19, 2016 - Parker United Methodist Church – 11805 S. Pine Drive,

5:45 p.m. – Dinner Buffet opens for those arriving early

6:10 p.m. – Announcements, Recognition & Installation of 2016 Officers

7:00 p.m. – Talent Show

7:30 p.m. – Have a safe drive home!

Tickets: $15 per person and must be purchased by January 15th.

This is a time to learn and grow with each other. Another possibility down the road would be to start a

Rotary Satellite Club. The difference is that if you are in a Satellite Club sponsored by the Rotary Club of

Parker you would actually be a member of that club but not need to attend their morning meetings.

There would be dues (approximately $110 per year) and attendance would be taken at each meeting.

You would be able to proudly wear a Rotary Pin and attend Rotary functions if desired. This requires

high ethical standards and you must be proposed by a Parker Rotarian. Which might be any of the

advisors we have help with our club. Something to think about. We could maintain and RCC group and

a Satellite group simultaneously. Please let me know if there is interest. Some of you would make

awesome Rotarians that I would be proud to sponsor. Kam

presentation. This group made a perfect program that touched every heart in the room. Congratulations!

Parker Rotary Community Corps

Purpose: To encourage those in the Parker area to reach out to others through projects while learning the guidelines used by Rotary International. To encourage involvement in a service club where members become skilled in reaching out to others, develop leadership responsibilities, feel a sense of belonging and being a vital part of a club with a purpose, and feeling proud about making a difference in their community. Parker Rotarians will be assisting with meetings, fundraisers and projects. This will also be a time to socialize with others and have a good time.

Objective: Dinner meeting once a month. Participate in a service projects, fundraisers or activities throughout the year.

Second Monday evening of the month from 6:00 – 7:00p.m. The Parker Senior Center located at 10675 Longs Way, Parker, CO 80138 Each attendee and/or guardian will complete and application and sign a waiver for

participation Anyone attending will pay $5 per meeting to cover the cost of dinner

Expectations – each member will be encouraged to attend meetings, fundraisers and

service projects whenever possible.

Members will arrange transportation ahead of time to and from each meeting or event

RCC will have elections yearly to select a Board of Directors. Board of Director members are required to arrive at dinner meetings at 5:00 p.m. each month. Board members will decide on activities, speakers, projects, etc.

The Parker Rotary is sponsor the sponsoring club under their Community Service avenue of

service in recognizing a need in the Parker Community to have a social activity,

learning/leadership experience and community service opportunity for individuals. To learn
