Prayas Engg. Ltd. (PEL) established in 1964 which is mostly preferred name in steel and non ferrous casting industry. Its parent company of Elecon Group of Companies.

It has masterly in casting used for core sector like , cement plant , sugar plant , valve industries , Mining equipment , material handling equipment , power transmission equipment.

In Prayas Casting Ltd. There is Non-ferrous alloy casting dept. there is use ALSI8ZN10 ALLOY. For making of casing, impeller. Casing is use in hydraulic fluid coupling. Casing have different size. There is a defect in casting of model no. 480 CASING. Like,

 To find out the defects causes and remedies.

Scope of the project is to make defect free casing and minimize the rejected piece.

This problem solved by using ansys 11.0, Pro-cast software.
