RAUGEO PEXa PipeThe heart of the REHAU RAUGEO system is crosslinked polyethylene (PEXa) pipe. The pipe’s high degree of crosslinking results in a durable yet flexible pipe with enhanced temperature capability and long-term

strength.

Whether you’re an owner, designer or installer, you’ll want to take advantage of the enhanced durability and security offered by the RAUGEO system with its superior PEXa pipe. Among the advantages of PEXa are:

– Resists slow crack growth, withstanding nicks and abrasion

during installation or rock impingement after installation.

– Eliminates the need to cut out kinks; the pipe can be brought

back to its original shape with a heat gun.

RAUGEO 1 1/4 in. Stainless Steel U-bendThe RAUGEO 1 1/4 in. U-bend allows increased flow rates necessary for larger projects, while offering the benefits of a PEXa geothermal piping system. The probe tip is constructed of corrosion-resistant stainless steel tubing along with ASTM F2080 compression-sleeve fittings. The tip assembly is covered in a rubber dip coating and a heat shrink sleeve is applied for further protection.

RAUGEO Pipe SpacersFor maximum efficiency, it’s best to have geothermal pipes at uniform spacing and as straight as possible in the borehole. REHAU pipe spacers control the position of the pipes in the borehole, holding the pipes near the borehole wall and away from each other. Using pipe spacers can provide up to 10% more energy extraction per borehole.

System DesignA central feature of the REHAU RAUGEO system is the home-run design which connects all the ground loops to an easily accessible manifold. With this design, all U-bends can be precisely balanced and easily identified if there is ever a need for repair.

Available ConfigurationsRAUGEO 1 1/4 in. probes are available with preformed U-bends in continuous lengths of up to 510 ft (155 m). Probes can be installed as single or double U-bends. Using the included hardware, single U-bend probe tips can be bolted together and installed as double U-bends, increasing efficiency from each borehole.

Meets or Exceeds Industry StandardsAll RAUGEO pipe meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM F876, F877, CSA B137.5 and PPI TR-3. RAUGEO PEXa pipe and compression-sleeve fittings are now recognized by both the IGSHPA "Design and Installation Standards 2008 edition" guide and the CSA Group Standard C448/13 "Design and Installation of Earth Energy Systems."
