RATHMORE PARISH NEWSLETTER Week 5: The line that is most often quoted from the story of the woman caught in adultery is Jesus’ challenge to the crowd who bring her before him ‘If there is one of you who has not sinned, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.’ It is a challenge to all of us to look inward before we ‘cast stones’ to judge others. Lenten calendar This Lent, you are invited to pray with a line of God’s Word each week and to act out that Word daily in your own life. Sat: Cherish the unexpected moments of wonder 5th Sun of Lent: What marvels the Lord worked for us! Indeed we were glad. Mon: Let your heart be filled with God’s view of life Tues: Fast from selfishness; go the extra mile today for someone else Wed: Welcome the stranger, in yourself as well as in your neighbour. THE IRISH BLOOD TRANSFUSION SERVICE will hold a Blood Donor clinic in St. Joseph’s Day Care Centre, Rathmore 6pm – 9pm Tuesday, 9th April 2019. Blood Donation is essential to ensure Hospital Patients get the treatment they need. One Donation can save up to 3 Lives. LISTOWEL COMMUNITY ACTION ON ALCOHOL host “Opening the Conversation” with Marion Rackard and Dolores Tiernan, Director Talbot Grove Castleisland, on the impact of Parental Alcohol Misuse.
