I’ve been blessed to travel the world.I memorized the Portuguese blues,

the hand-painted porcelain and the whitewashed stucco.

This great room was once just a ranch house filled with the laughter of my two boys. Love still fills the air.

finding everything.

The first time I bottle-fed a baby Bengal I saw a smile in his little blue eyes. And now, my ranch is home to tigers, alpaca and zebra.

I laugh about the days

standing in the pouring rain,

harvesting natural river rock

uncovered by the rushing creek.

My handpicked stones now

rise as our grand fireplaces.

I was raised in a sleepy little town in the Midwest and fondlyremember watching my mother toil over her beloved rose gardens.

I’ve read the history of how this area was originally bequeathedto the Serrano family via a Mexican land grant. That it once belongedto the coastal Indians. I have even heard whispered comments thatmy family acquired this land by winning a bet on a horse race. Thatmakes me smile, but I’ll never tell.

It began during a trip to Portugal nearly 30 years ago. Wedreamed of finding a ranch near the ocean, yet still in the mountains. After only two weeks this dreamland was ours.

My late husband and I had the aspiration to build our home asa small village, with quaint little bungalows sprinkled around therolling hills. Today those hillsides are filled with white twinklinglights and many of the treasures Rick and I gathered from ourtravels. Even in the name “Rancho Las Lomas” his legacy lives onwith his initials.

Once in Nepal, I stayed in a sheltered preserve with Bengal tigers. They were safe. They were majestic. I found that many cubs wereborn needing a refuge where they could live with nobility. Here, theyare forever out of harm’s way.

Today, the stone washed garden pathways are lined with my favorite roses. You will probably find me out with my clipperstending the gardens. The land. The animals. The love in the air. I am so happy to share my home with you.

Memories are made here.

The Rancho Family

I love sharing my vision with my family and the extraordinary

Rancho extended family. They all live and breathe Rancho Las Lomas

as much as I do. My son, Brett, fearlessly manages daily operations and is

our chief people person. Julie Stoddart is remarkably gifted effecting

our special event details and is our resident animal whisperer. Juan Naranjo

has been the stonemason and head of our on-site development team for

decades. Kara Felten, our sales and venue manager, is the most knowledgeable

and delightful first voice you’ll ever hear when you call us.

We hope to see you soon…

The mission of the Rancho Las Lomas Wildlife Foundation is to educate and inspire our community

and to provide the best home possible for the magnificent animals in our care.

We welcome the curiosity of our local school agedchildren and try to help them understand their own

call of the wild and engage them to become an advocatewith us. It is vital we help them, and everyone who

visits, understand every creature of this planet deservesto live with compassion and respect.

We have a rare opportunity for you to support the foundation by commemorating your visit or event in

stone … literally!

Each stone is hand-etched and custom designed according to your specifications. Hundreds have been

placed around the cobblestone pathways. Is yours next?
