Role Description:

As part of the Allstate team I have worked with following modules since December 2009 –

Project 1 – Intake Management (From Apr '12 to Till Date)

Role – System Analyst

The main focus of Intake Management System Analysts is to supervise the compliance issues with Allstate onshore and offshore developers. They are responsible for analyzing a defect and fill out the complete information related to a defect on centralized database. This information is referred by audit developers to create audit programs to fetch impacted policies, by current term correction developers to create the COBOL programs to correct the current term identified broken policies and by refund developers to create refund program in order to refund the overcharged customers for prior term.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that compliance issues are completed well before the Corporate Compliance Deadlines.

Interacting with the business to gather requirements. Provide BA/SME support to client captives. Coordinate with client captive in optimization of their processes.

Handle client calls. Requirement analysis for all the defects. Participate in CAMD meetings to discuss the open issues related to a defect. Give the policy identification criteria for defects, so that developers can write the audit. Once the audit results are available, validate the results as per broken and approve it. Prepare the design for current term correction of broken policies. Provide necessary

information to Corrective action developers for database correction. Review the Z transaction code and test results. Validate the summary of correction. Provide necessary information to refund developers for refunding the prior term policies. Review the refund code and test results. Validate the refund summary sheet. Collaborate with Customer Executive Support (CES) team on manual correction/refund

policies that could not be corrected/ refunded through mechanical correction/refund. Close the issue.

Project 2 – CA COE (Corrective Action Centre of Excellence (From Sep '10 to Apr '12)

Role – Audit/Z/Refund Group Lead

The main focus of this team is the Client Compliance Issues wherein we are required to identify broken customer policies. We create programs (audits) using SAP architecture (Streamlined audit process) to identify the broken policies present in the Customer Database. Once the broken policies are identified the correction process follows and if there is any premium impact to the customers then the appropriate refund is calculated and data is corrected for current term and reported to the appropriate Client Support team.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that compliance issues are completed well before the Corporate Compliance Deadlines.

Writing Audits in order to catch impacted policies. Writing Z-transactions in order to correct the impacted policies for current term. Writing Refund programs in order to refund the amount which customer is entitled to get

as a result of some incorrect code in the system. This refund amount is sum of actual amount which was overcharged from customer incorrectly and the corresponding interest amount for the period specified.

Status reporting to the supervisor and participate in weekly status meeting with Leads and Manager.

Estimation of tasks. Root cause analysis and preparation of Design and the pseudo-code algorithm for

complex requirements as per the CMMi level 5 requirement Preparation of Unit and Assembly Test Plans and preparing the test data for testing. Performing Quality Management activities such as Defect prevention activities like

inspection, walkthroughs, reviews. Working on the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects comprising of

requirement capture, analysis, estimation, designing, coding, testing, rollout and support. Follow the various project processes.

Managing various trainings for new resources. Prepare Design document, from the requirements provided, which acts as the input for

creating audit program using Streamlined Audit Process architecture/ADW audit. Prepare test plans for Streamlined Audit Process /ADW audits including all the possible

scenarios to verify results of audit program and ensure that all the impacted policies are identified by Streamlined Audit Process /ADW audit.

Build audit routines using Streamlined Audit Process /ADW in line with the Policy Identification criteria and high level design so as to capture all the broken policies impacted by the issue.

Consolidate and verify results of Streamlined Audit Process / Active Data Warehouse audit program. Generate reports out of audit results which are then sent to Customer and Enterprise System (CES) team for the review and approval.

Build Z-transaction routines for the data and premium correction of the broken policies identified by Streamlined Audit Process /ADW audit.

Generate Z/Z-Refund-transaction summary report, identifying all the policies which got successfully processed and the ones which need to be sent to CES team for manual correction.

Mentor and guide new resources to acclimatize them to Streamlined Audit Process architecture, ADW audits and Z-transactions. Develop functional knowledge base for new resources and help them to become productive at the earliest.

Project 3 – Root Cause Analysis (RCA) (From Apr '10 to Sep '10)

Role - Developer

RCA team has most critical work of Allstate New Jersey (ANJ) system support since it is managed with a SLA. I provided SME support to RCA during my tenure with the tem and was responsible for analyzing the problem and respond to the issues within agreed SLA response times. I was required to respond with functional and technical details about Propagator and corrective action systems.

Responsibilities:

Requirement gathering for defects. Root cause the defects. Provide design documents for defect fixes. Mentoring new joiners in the team. Reviewing the deliverables for Peer review of team mates.

Project 4 – Propagator (From Dec '09 to April '10)

Role – Developer

PROPOGATOR system takes care of Renewal and Re-rate processing of the policies. The main focus of this team is to analyze, debug and fix the code on PROPOGATOR System.

Understanding the requirements from business and stakeholders. Preparing the customer requirement documents. Planning and designing the functional requirements for the Propagator system

enhancements. Providing technical architecture oversight to implement the functional requirements into
