Colour coded stockinette cloths are growing in popularity with the implementation of colour coded programs. We offer 3 options in our range as below.

Warp knitted cloths offer greater durability than stockinette cloths. We offer two types of white cloths as dishcloths and a range of ecru heavy duty cloths for floor and wall cleaning. All cloths are machine washable and can be boiled to clean and refresh.

What is microfibre??Microfibre is the ultimate cleaning material for all surfaces and is available in cloth and mop formats.

Fibre can be described as microfibre when it weighs less than 1 gram per 10km of length.

For most microfibres, this equates to a diameter of less than 0.12 denier. To give you an idea, this is 100 times thinner than a human hair.

Microfibre is made from a mixture of polyester and polyamide bi-component fibre. It is split into many micro-segments by special physical & chemical treatments.

Microfibre cloths give quicker results and clean more easily and more effectively than conventional cloths.

The microfibre cloths leave the surface clean and smear free and remove up to 99.9% of bacteria from surfaces. There is no need to use chemicals, as they clean with just water making them very environmentally friendly.

The capillary action of the microscopic pores in Microfibre absorbs tremendous amounts of water quickly. Microfibre is very durable. It outlasts most mops and cloths made from natural fibres.

The cloths are extensively washable. They can be laundered up to 400 times at 90°C. When laundering the cloths only a standard detergent is required.

No bleach or fabric softener should be used.

Microfibre has up to 40 times more surface area compared to normal fibre, making the fibre extremely absorbent.

The capillary action allows for strong cleaning ability.

The wedge shaped fibre, together with polyamide core, helps to attract and trap dust and dirt. It also is excellent for cleaning greasy surfaces without scratching.

Microfibre’s fine pores leave very little moisture behind. Any droplets remaining on the surface will evaporate quickly and leave it clean and smear-free.

Microfibre has become more and more the cleaning cloth that suits the needs of hygiene in hospitals. Many hospitals have successfully implemented systems in recent years using microfibre to improve hygiene. Until now, the vast majority of cloths required laundering. More recently, hospitals have started to implement systems using a cloth that is disposable.

The cloths are manufactured in 4 colours and supplied in handy rolls suitable for hygienic storage and quick and easy removal. Designed to sit at work stations or on trolleys each outer is clearly labelled. The cloths are a generous size (31 x 25cm approx.) and weight (60gsm). Cloths can also be laundered up to 15 times at 60°C. No fabric conditioner.

The new Ramon optima ‘extra’ microfibre cloth meets the current requirements offering all the benefits of microfibre cloths whilst being low priced enough to be deemed disposable. The cloths are manufactured using the latest technology, to provide a microfilament web of material that removes dirt, grease and bacteria from surfaces. ‘qwik’ pre-soaking system(velcro)

The ‘qwik’ pre-soaking system offers similar cleaning practices to the ‘bio cleaning tool’ and the ‘blik’ system but uses velcro mop heads. The system operates the same by pre-soaking mops in hermetically sealed buckets or drawers from the MAGIC line trolleys.

The colour coded microfibre mops are attached to the frame with velcro. These can be transferred directly to the laundry bin with minimal handling, when dirty.

This system is ideally suited to smaller areas and has lower set up costs, compared toalternatives.

Ideal for smaller establishments such as hotels, clinics, fast food outlets and reception areas.

An alternative pre-soaking microfibre system to the ‘blik’ system (see page 91).

Reduced cross contamination/improved hygieneThe ‘qwik’ system benefits from having fullycolour coded mops, frames and telescopic handles. The telescopic handle allows the operative to adjust the handle to the correctheight and also extend to clean under units, tables and awkward areas. The risk of cross contamination is reduced by using a clean microfibre mop head for each area. The microfibre looped mops are available in white with colour coded tags or fully coloured yarn. The looped heads hold larger particles as well as bacteria from surfaces, using just water. The mophead can be removed from the frame with minimal handling. Simply place a foot on each end ofthe mop head and pull from the velcro fastening. The mop can then be lifted and placed in the laundry bag by holding the tags provided.

Pre-soaking mop headsThe cleaning solution is applied to the mops by pouring the liquid over them in a hermetic bucket using the specially designed dosing grid(see page 92). This allows for even distribution and correctlydosed mops, which are then ready for use.

Damp mopping– allows minimum disruptionMicrofibre mopping systems provide quick and effective cleaning of floors with minimum disruption. As the floors are cleaned using dampmops, they are quickly dry thus reducing the risk ofslips and injuries.

The ‘blik’ pre-soaking mopping system is designed as a one mop/one ward system for Hospitals. Unique release system so dirty mops can be released into laundry bag with NO HANDLING.

The ‘blik’ system can also be used in smaller areas such as nursing homes, surgeries, clinics and high risk areas such as theatres. For these smaller areas we have available the ‘cart’ which has storage space for a hermetic bucket to store pre-soaked mops, laundry bag for dirty mops and holder for ’blik’ mopping system.

With its lightweight frame and multi directional fitting the ‘blik’ system is also ideal for cleaning, stairs, skirting, walls and ceilings. The rectangular frame allows edges and corners to be cleaned quickly and easily.

Pre-soaking mop headsThe cleaning solution is applied to the mops by pouring the liquid on the dosing grid with the mops stored in the hermetic bucket. Grids are available to fit the drawers of the MAGIC line trolleys or hermetic buckets in which the dry mops are stacked. The porous lid is then placed on top and the liquid feeds through to provide even dosing. The mops are then ready to use. (see images below).

The ‘blik’ bio microfibre cleaning tool is designed for use within hospitals, clinics, surgeries and high risk areas to provide high levels of cleaning, reduced risks of cross contamination and reduced cleaning times over conventional mopping systems. Also ideal for ‘spot mopping’.

The dosing system built onto the handle allows fresh chemical to be dispensed to the floor.This allows the operative to control the moisture in the mop for optimum cleaning.

The system is designed to allow the operative to place the mop head on the frame and remove to the laundry with NO HANDLING of the dirty mop. The microfibre mops are secured onto the frame by two pockets and a clip. The frame is ‘broken’ by depressing a button with the foot and the mop remains attached until a small clip is released (see image on page 94). This should be done over the laundry bag so the mop is not handled. A fresh mop is dropped to the floorand the frame can be fed into the pockets and secured by the clip. The mop is then ready to use.

Bottles are dosed at work station in order to speed process. Spare bottles can be stored on the trolley.
