Scope of work: The project consists

of the runway extension as well as all

the affected elements like (Obstacle

limitation surfaces, pavement

evaluation and design, lighting

system, pavement marking, perimeter

fencing, and patrol road). It also

includes the design of turnaround

area for craft maneuvering at north of

runway extension, and engineering of

all interfaced existing utilities. And

provision of Engineering Materials

Arresting System (EMAS) on south

side of the existing runway.

Project: Ranyah Airport, Strategic Missile Forces (Ministry of Defense)-Saudi Arabia

Role: Design Engineer

Scope of work: The project consists of planning and design of new Airport

in Ranyah. The project includes site selection, obstacle limitation surfaces,

topographic survey; geotechnical investigations; architectural and civil design;

preparation of architectural, civil, electrical and mechanical design drawings; and

preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Tender Documents. Airside scope of

works covers planning and design of runway (Code E aircraft), taxiway, apron and

fire rescue roads. The landside work includes design of terminal, firefighting, control

tower, administration and auxiliary buildings, in addition to roads and parking design

Project: HGH Raised Helipad/ Service Block at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar

Role: Design Engineer

Scope of work: Design of raise helipad at the service Block at Hamad Medical

Corporation. Duties included design of the Helipad dimensions and related

information, Physical characteristics, Obstacle limitation surfaces and marking.

Roads & Pavement

Project: Development of roads and infrastructure in Al-Khor Town-Phase 2, Qatar

Role: Pavement Design

Scope of work: Al khor Town is located south of Laffan industrial City and covers

1400 Hectares and includes 170km of roads. Al-Khor consists currently of 70% built

up areas, primarily residential having also some commercial and governmental

properties along with schools and several mosques.

Feb 2012 - May 2016 : Rafik El Khoury & Partners

Project: Dirab Military Air Base, KSA

Role: Design Engineer (Rafik El Khoury & Partners)

Scope of work: The project involved the design of a new military airport, including

battalion and airfield areas, validation of earthwork quantities, preparation of

detailed construction drawings, design of battalion roads and parking, technical

specifications, pavement design of roads and parking.

Project: Admir Development, Lebanon

Role: Design Engineer Scope of work: The project involved roads and pavement design of a residential

compound located in a mountainous area. The design package covered the

preparation of construction drawings of all road related facilities, bill of quantities,

design reports, and technical specifications for all road work facilities.

Project: Cedars Mountain Resort, Lebanon

Role: Design Engineer Scope of work: The project involved roads and pavement design of a residential

compound located in one of the highest locations in Lebanon above sea level. The

design package covered the preparation of construction drawings of all road

related facilities, bill of quantities, design reports, and technical specifications for all

road work facilities.

Bridge Design

Project: Jabal Omar Development Project, Bridge along Road E (Vehicular Bridge),

KSA

Role: Design Engineer Scope of work: The project encountered a sloped bridge consisting of 12

reinforced concrete 19m spans, connecting 2 regions in the area. Design of

structural elements (piers, foundations, corbels, deck reinforcement) and modeling

of structural elements using finite element software was implemented. The

package covered framing and reinforcement plans of piers, deck, foundations,

abutments, apron slabs, and preparation of design reports and technical

specifications.

Project: Maintenance, Improvement & Upgrade of Hamad Bin Abdullah Road

(Vehicular Bridge), UAE

Role: Design Engineer Scope of work: The project encountered a 3 spans pre-stressed deck system

bridge, with a 58m middle span replacing the traffic light junction and 2 pedestrian

tunnels crossing under the main road. Design of structural elements (pedestrian

tunnels, L shape retaining walls, piers, foundations) was technical specifications for

the structural works.

Structural Design

Project: Caisson Line Inspection & Renovation, Solidere, Lebanon

Role: Design Engineer Scope of work: The project consists of the rehabilitation of an existing damped

reinforced concrete structure, forming a 1400m sea defense line along the

reclaimed section of the coastline, located close to the recently developed and

refurbished down town area of Beirut. It is composed of 84 reinforced concrete

wave breakers (Caissons) showing excessive damage to sever environmental

conditions. The rehabilitation package required the revision of as built drawings

and previous inspection reports as well as site visits for caissons status inspection,

and preparation of rehabilitation construction drawings, reports, and technical and

material specifications.

Project: Jumeirah Beach Resort, Saadiyat Island, UAE

Role: Design Engineer Scope of work: The design package encountered the structural design, modeling,

bill of quantities, and preparation of all required plans and specifications for the

project implementation.

Project: Edelweiss, Faqra Heart Village, Lebanon

Role: Design Engineer Scope of work: The project is a high standard compound in Mount Lebanon

composed of 127 chalets. The design package required the preparation all plans

and specifications, modeling, design reports, bill of quantities, and technical

specifications.

Project: Business Park, Waterfront City, Lebanon

Role: Design Engineer Scope of work: The Project consisted of 2 office buildings in Waterfront City, each

consisting of 5 stories above ground, and 2 common basements where all

structural elements were designed. Framing and reinforcement plans,

specifications and quantities for all the designed structural elements were provided.
