We are delighted that you have chosen to be a trailblazer and be the first people to Glamp at the Ranch at Ramblin’ Man Fair in Mote Park. Please see below all the informaBon you will need to enjoy your stay. For the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all guests please read and observe the informaBon provided. Campsite I+nerary Friday 24 July: 12:00 Glamping at the Ranch Opens 12:00 The Ranch Bar Opens 23:00 Last new admission for the evening Saturday 25 July: 01:00 The Ranch Bar Closes 12:00 Main Arena Opens / The Ranch Bar opens 13:00 Music Starts 23:00 Music and Bars Close in Main Arena with an hour extension for late refreshments (food and non alcoholic drinks) Sunday 26 July: 01:00 The Ranch Bar Closes 12:00 Main Arena Opens / The Ranch Bar opens 13:00 Music Starts 22:30 Music and Bars Close in Main Arena with an hour extension for late refreshments (food and non alcoholic drinks) Monday 27 July: 01:00 The Ranch Bar Closes 12:00 Glamping at the Ranch closes Access Informa+on Glamping is in the Long Valley, a stunning and historic part of Mote Park, and this is the first occasion that camping has been allowed on it. Please respect the park, the wildlife and the local residents who are a few hundred metres away. On arriving for your accommodaBon all Glamping at the Ranch guests should enter Mote Park via the Maidstone Leisure Centre entrance (Maidstone Leisure Centre, Mote Park, off Willow Way, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 7RN). Enter the Leisure Centre car park and conBnue to the le_ hand side of the Leisure Centre building where you will arrive at a stewarded checkpoint. Please display the parking pass found at the end of this document and have your booking confirmaBon ready to be presented here. You will be guided to the car park from this point. Car parking for up to two cars is included in your package. The car park is fenced but cars are le_ at your own risk. Do not leave valuables in your car. Glamping at the Ranch guests will be checked in at the recepBon area near the car park where they will receive their Glamping at the Ranch wristband. Please bring your booking informaBon to avoid delays. All Glamping at the Ranch guests will be required to keep their wristbands with them at all Bmes to gain access to the campsite. You will receive a separate event wristband when you first enter the Fair, which will provide you with access to the Fair over the weekend. Remember your Glamping at the Ranch package did not include a Bcket to gain entry to the Fair. Please ensure you have your event Bcket with you too.
Access to Glamping at the Ranch is for Glamping at the Ranch guests only with their valid wristband. VERY IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you are aware what bedding is provided in your accommodaBon and bring addiBonal adequate bedding with you, such as sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, if required. The last admission on Friday 24 July for new campers is 23:00. Vehicle movements: Due to the locaBon of Glamping at the Ranch and the vehicle exit at the Leisure Centre vehicle movements are severally restricted on the event days for Health and Safety reasons due to the volume of vehicles and pedestrians expected. We advise that you do not try and leave in your vehicle, as there may be a long wait to return. Please vacate the campsite by 2pm on Monday 27 July 2015. Camping and car parking is at your own risk. The promoter and Maidstone Borough Council shall not be held liable for loss, injury or damage sustained within Mote Park. Entry to the Fair is via the Main Entrance on Saturday 25 July: this is “A” on the map. Once you have received your event wristbands you can leave and enter the Fair via “B” on the map. General Informa+on Search Policy: You may be searched at the entrance to the campsite and the Fair for any restricted items. If found they will be confiscated. Do not agempt to bring in illegal substances as you stand a very real chance of being caught. Restricted items that cannot be bought into the campsite or arena: -‐ Offensive weapons or anything that may be considered to be an offensive weapon -‐ Any glass containers of any kind (e.g. drink bogles or ketchup) -‐ Alcohol and illegal drugs (prescripBon drugs are acceptable) -‐ Fireworks, flares, laser pens or laser equipment -‐ Air horns -‐ Music Sound systems -‐ With the excepBon of Assistance Dogs, no animals are allowed on site Drinks and food in the campsite: as the campsite is licensed you are not able to bring alcohol into the area. You are able to bring non-‐alcoholic drinks and food into the campsite. Drinks and food in the arena: as the arena is licensed you are not able to bring alcohol into the area. You can bring a 500ml bogle of water into the arena that can be refilled from the water taps provided. There will be plenty of bars on site selling a variety of drinks at reasonable prices. You can bring a small amount of precooked food of the snack variety. Picnic hampers are not allowed. Cooking & Fires: Open campfires are strictly prohibited on site. Cooking is not permiged by your accommodaBon structure but a cooking area will be provided. There will be a catering unit within the Glamping at the Ranch area and a large selecBon of food outlets to cater for all tastes at reasonable prices within the arena. Water: There are standpipes that contain free drinking water in the campsites and the arena. Toilets: There are regularly cleaned toilets in the Glamping at the Ranch Campsite. Please help us by keeping them clean; it will be mutually beneficial. Always wash your hands a_er using the toilets.
Rubbish & Waste: Please place rubbish in bins provided to help make the environment as nice as possible for all Ramblers. Valuables: if you don’t need it – don’t bring it! Carry money, credit cards, mobile phones, cameras, and all other valuables with you at all Bmes. Lockers are available to hire which will be situated next to “B” on the map. Noise: Please respect your fellow campers and local residents by keeping noise to a minimum when walking around the campsite during the night/early hours of the morning. Emergency Exits: Ensure you know where your nearest emergency exits are and follow any instrucBons given by Stewards or Security. Emergency Services: There is 24 hour medical care and fire response on site. If you need any assistance please iniBally look for a Steward on site who can alert the response teams and get a quick response. Only dial 999 in an emergency if you can not quickly find a steward. If you need to take medicaBon regularly remember to bring it and let your friends know of any illness or allergies you may have.
Glamping at the Ranch FAQ’s Where is Glamping at the Ranch situated? Glamping at the Ranch is situated in the Long Valley in Mote Park near to the Volunteers Pavilion. When is Glamping at the Ranch open? It is open from midday on Friday 24 July to midday on Monday 27 July. What is the last admission +me on Friday 24 July? The last admission is 23:00. How do we access the area if we are driving? The vehicle entrance is located via Maidstone Leisure Centre car park. The address is Maidstone Leisure Centre, Mote Park, off Willow Way, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 7RN. All vehicles should enter via the Leisure Centre car park entrance and conBnue straight to the le_ hand side of the Leisure Centre where you will arrive at a stewarded checkpoint. Please display the parking pass found at the end of this document and have your booking confirmaBon ready to be presented here. Where do I park? A_er clearing the Leisure Centre checkpoint you will be guided onto the fields and down into the Glamping parking area. This is the only on site parking area at the Fair and is included within your accommodaBon package. This car park is fenced but vehicles and their contents are le_ at your own risk. Is there a recep+on area? The recepBon area is situated near to the car park. Check in here with your various accommodaBon providers. Your booking confirmaBon will be needed for this check in. What facili+es are available? Toilets and showers are provided (including disabled toilets and showers) as well as The Ranch Bar and a food outlet. Is there a bar open in the Glamping area? Yes, The Ranch Bar is only open to Glampers and will be open from midday to 1am on Friday 24, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26. We are only able to play recorded music in this bar under our Licence. What food is available in the Glamping area? The food is provided by Henry's Coffee who serve teas, coffees, juices, cakes, muffins, fruit and breakfast panini's. All you could want for the morning with a great selecBon of food available in the arena from midday to midnight Saturday and 11.30pm Sunday to keep you fueled for the rest of the day.
Can we have a BBQ and camp stove? A cooking area is provided. Unfortunately you are not allowed BBQs or open fires at your accommodaBon. Is there a convenience store in walking distance? Yes, West Park Mini Mart is located just outside of the York Gate entrance to Mote Park which is at the top of the Long Valley. The address is West Park Mini Mart, 68A West Park Road, Maidstone, ME15 7AG AlternaBvely the nearest supermarket which you should visit before you enter the park is Sainsbury’s. The address is Romney Place, Maidstone, Kent ME15 6SF address. This is one mile away from the Leisure Center entrance. Is security provided? The Glamping area is fenced in and there will be 24-‐hour security in the area. However we advise that you keep valuables with you at all Bmes or you hire one of the lockers provided. Noise patrol stewards will operate a_er midnight due to the close proximity of some local residences. They will ask politely if the noise levels are too loud. What alcohol can we bring into the campsite? Unfortunately the Local AuthoriBes insisted that the Glamping at the Ranch area be included in our Licence. As with any licensed premises you are not able to bring in your own alcohol. There is no restricBon on so_ drinks or food. What alcohol can we bring into the arena? As the arena is licensed you are not able to bring alcohol into the area. You can bring a 500ml bogle of water into the arena that can be refilled from the water taps provided. There will be plenty of bars on site selling a variety of drinks at reasonable prices. Will we be searched on entry to the Campsite and Arena? A so_ bag search will be undertaken looking for restricted items. Can we access Maidstone Leisure Centre? Yes we have secured a discounted deal for you if you fancy a swim and then want to make use of their “faciliBes”. The prices are £5 for an adult (normally £6.20) and £3 for a child (normally £4.20) per visit. (Please note that we do not receive any money from the Leisure Centre from these fees). My friend who is not Glamping would like to join us in The Ranch Bar, is this allowed? Unfortunately not, only Glampers are allowed access to The Ranch Bar and the Glamping area.
