Bettye Prescott

As we enter a new decade so we enter a new year as the Ramblers Club at the ARC. Many exciting things are happening. The new bus arrived in December and we enjoyed several trips on it in style and comfort. We have a variety of trips planned for this quarter and look forward to having you join us on our journeys. The More or Less Players will be selecting a new play and invite you to join in the fun of bringing a story to life on stage. Many of our small group activities, some-times, go unnoticed. Please look at the calen-dars and see if there is something new that you might enjoy. The Roswell Ringers Bell Choir, Craft Club, Jewelry Making Club and Chorus are always welcoming new members. Please take a moment and thank the “front desk staff ” when you are in the building and signing up for activities. They have a tremendous responsibility to see that your reservations for ALL activities that are offered are processed correctly. We are the busiest recreation facility in the city and I know you are always eager to “sign up and go” but please be patient as you work with the staff. May you be blessed with good health, good fun, and new friendships throughout 2020.

Together we examine the positive effects and wide range of benefits that humor and LOL (laughter) have on our lives. Through humorous jokes, stories, vintage film clips of our favorite comedians, game shows and interactive activities, we will learn how to use humor as well as both the right and left sides of the brain to ap-preciate and create humor. We’ll also enhance our sense of humor about aging, retirement, being grandparents, luv’n relationships and the “crazy” situations we find ourselves in our senior years.
