Lack of version controller in Data Stage version 4.2

Unsupported version of NT server where Data stage server is hosted

There is no ease of Support and Maintenance

Replication of components is not possible

There is no availability for Job Controlling & Scheduling

Dependency with Mainframe Server

Poor performance in Loading

Within Europe there are a number of instances of the GENIUS Policy Registration (DB2) system. Each instance of GENIUS has its own associated MI capability in the form of a PRIMA GENIUS Country application (on SQL Server 2000 or 2005, with MSAS Cubes, MSRS drill-through Reports and ProClarity BI front end).

There is a requirement to simplify the regional MI solution, reduce batch delivery times, bring-down longer-term development and lifetime support costs and deliver more change and MI capabilities to the business.

The existing ETL process has ETL unsustainability and complexity and could not handle ramping up of data volumes (business growth, increasing history data, data duplication & data granularity).

To achieve this AOG is Re-platforming PRIMA GENIUS Europe onto strategic, extendable and future-proofed technologies and infrastructure (Informatica with Netezza as DWH base platform); employing a model-driven development methodology.
