The all round development of the child involves both thescholastic and the co-scholastic areas of pupil growth,Thus, we try to include the habits of regular study, indus-try, discipline, sense of responsibility, co-operation, com-munity service and civic consciousness in our children toface the challanges.
EvaluationThe CBSE has issued Circular No. Acad05/2017 dated31-01-2017 on the restoration of Board Examination forclass X and revised assessment structure and examina-tion for class X from academic Year 2017-18 onward. Thisnew scheme will bring the uniformity in the system of as-sessment and examination for classes IX and X in all theCBSE affiliated schools. To increase the confidence in thestudents to start preparing for class X Board examinationwhen they join the upper primary stage. The CBSE hasdecided to implement the uniform system of assessment,examination pattern. While keeping in view the provisionsof Right to education Act, 2009, the scheme has beendesigned on Term Assessment basis with gradual increasein the Learning assessment as the students move for-ward. This would prepare the students to cover the wholesyllabus of the academic year and face the challenge ofclass X board examination and would thus, ensure the‘quality of education’.
Scholastic AreaThe assessment structure and examination have beenprepared in view of the provisions of RTE-ACT 2009 andcomprises of two terms i.e. Term-1 and 2 as explainedbelow :-

* In case there happens to be a holiday on a particular examdate, the exam will be held as per the intimation given byschool
* Each student should have 75% of attendance in eachterm to be eligible to appear in Term/Summative exam.
* In order to pass, each student has to secure 40% marks* The student will be promoted to the next class on the
basis of final result.* It is mandatory for each student to appear in all the PTs
& Term exams. No retest will be conducted if a studentmisses PT for any reason, Absent (AB) will be marked.Retest is permissible for Term exam. only dependingupon the situation.
