Projects Worked on:

Framework: IBM Sterling Order Management System

Role: Implementation

Client: 'HBC'

Project Details: Enabling on-boarding of New Banners – ‘SAKS OFF5th and SAKS’ of the Parent Company - ‘HBC’ to use Sterling OMS capabilities for fulfilling the orders captured across various channels. The objective behind this transformation is two-fold, to ensure a better, enhanced and consistent Omni channel experience for customers that shop across all the banners and to serve as a first step towards consolidation of OMS

Main Responsibilities: In the initial phases of the project - Involved in gathering the requirements from colleagues at

onsite and framing Functional Requirement Specification (FRS) and High Level Design (HLD) documents based on the inputs received.

Lead a dedicated 4 member team in successfully delivering the first code drop which involved – inventory feed, participant modeling, RTAM etc. as some of the modules.

In the present phase of the project, primarily involved in Release 2 activities - of onboarding another banner of the parent company (SAKS) to use the capabilities developed for SAKS OFF5th in Release 1.

Other responsibilities: Coding on critical modules for the project like Inventory Lookup, Reservations, Sourcing and

Scheduling. Added new functionalities to reflect the new business logic as part of the enhancements like

writing custom java code required for a new Agent Server Configuration. Requirement analysis and estimating timelines for the modules. Designing Detailed Level Document for the modules. Developing POC’s to meet rapidly changing business demands. Developed Writing test plans and perform unit tests, system tests and regression tests.

Challenges & Learning: Being completely new to the Sterling OMS framework, was thrown into a challenging

environment of an implementation project. Had to showcase the ability of learning while doing and also quickly grasping the nuances of an order life cycle in supply chain management.

Adapt to the AGILE working environment for Release 2 of the deliverables.
