Details of Activity To increase the interest of students in the study of Political Science the role of Study Council is important. With the motto of developing leadership qualities among students of Political Science every year Political Science study council is formed in a democratic way. To develop a civic sense among students and to make aware them about political problems is also the purpose behind Political Science study council.

A programme of Inauguration of Political Science study council for the academic year 2014-15 was organized. It was inaugurated by Shivsena Leader Shri. Abhay Salunke. On that occasion the Principal Dr.S.B. Jadhav was the president of the programme. Dr.Mahadev Gavhane Head of the Department of Political Science and student leader Suvarna Ukale were present on the stage.

Department of sociology organized two days state level workshop with Human Rights Organisation on the date of 30&31Jan 2015 Dr. S. B. Jadhav (Hon Principal) & Dr. Suresh Waghmare (HoD Department of Sociology) took initiative to make this workshop successful. Inaugration fuction of this workshop held on 30 Jan 2015. Hon. Mr. Eknathrao Aavad was the Chief Guest of this function and Hon. Dr. P.R.Deshmukh vice-President [Shiv Chatrapati Shikshan Sanstha] was the president of this fanction. This workshop was enriched with the intellectual contribution of honorable resource persons like Dr. P.G. Jogdand (Amaravati DR. Ghanashyam Yelne (Nanded), Dr. Archana Jagatkar (Kalhapur), Principal Dr. B.R. Suryavanshi.

This workshop aimed to give view on sociological and intellectual discourse of New Ambedkarite Movement as well as Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkars Thoughts on water conservation, electricity and agriculture entry fees was 500/- for faculties 300/-for research students.

This two day workshop held in three sessions first second session was on 30 Jan Third session was held on 31 Jan 2015. 20 participants participated in this workshop.
